Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I caught Palin's act on Gretta, Lauer, and last night with Larry King. In Larry's interview, she wouldn't shut up! She was really annoying, IMO. For someone who hates the "MSM", she certainly has been whoring out for them. She needs to lay low for awhile and avoid the spotlight. I don't think all of this media attention she is grabbing is serving her well. It's blatantly obvious she is pissed off at the way she was treated by the McCain campaign, and she made it clear (passive agressively) she has her eye on the prize in 2012.

I don't think she's capable of making executive decisions.
Barrack hasn't made any executive decisions, so let's see how he does.
bitter much? i didn't say she has never made executive decisions, i said i don't think she's capable. barack showed a cool hand all throughout his campaign. face it, he is poised and ready to make executive decisions. this really is a moot point. i simply hate her folksiness, it's annoying as hell.
I hired a guy last week who didn't have shit for experience. But his resume used a cool font, and I liked the way he formatted his non-relevant experiences. Also, the guy dressed pretty well, and had a winning personality. We'll see how it works out.

I guess the good part about Palin possibly running for President is that she could potentially make a 3rd party candidate a viable alternative.

Actually, I wasn't the hiring manager, but just helped with the interviewing process. We hired him to be our CEO. At the end of the day, we all decided to support his message of change.

Faithful,

You are very clever. You claim to be a conservative but you are just playing go drink your Obama Kool-Aid and believe all you read about Gov Palin. You are right she is god awful that is how she become a GOV and recieved an 80% approval rating. It is amazing see cut a deal with Canada and didn't even know they existed.

Take your liberal talking points somewhere else

bg, i'm not trying to start an argument or a flame war, but did you see that palin's approval rating dropped to 62% from 80%? 62% is still relatively high, but why do you think her rating fell so much?

Having the MSM for or against you is easily a 10-15% point swing, about the same as the home court advantage in the BT.

This is classic MSM manipulation: 1) smear a person using false claims and publicize the hell out of it 2) Run a big story about the person's drop in the polls, and print a small retraction about the previous stories being false on page C35. 3) Repeat 2). It's unbelievable.

Or at least be up front about it. Reminds me of Keith Olberman being an objective journalist. Fox News has some hardcore partisans (right AND left) but at least they are up front about it.

BTown,

I don't get you guys you fucking won. OK YOU FUCKING WON but you must continue to attack Gov Palin why. She might run in 2012 but she will not win. 2012 is going to be a tough election. If McCain was 66 I would say he should run again and be a lock in 2012 but he isn't. he is done D O N E. He might run for Senate again maybe but he is really done as an active Politician. Why MSNBC all morning ran attacks against her. You hate her Folkiness and Faithful just hates her. HMMMM Fiscal Responsibilty Check Social Conservative Check has gotten results Check.

I not even a big fan nor will I probably vote for her in 2012 if she runs but for Christ sakes the RNC fucked up her roll out ok that is all. Rick Davis defended her. SO a few assclowns made some retarded statements about her and you believe them.

I just do not get why 9 days after the election people are still attacking her.

no, no, you mistook what i said. i seriously want to know why. in my opinion, she did nothing that should make her approval rating (in alaska) fall by 18 points. i thought that you, as a member of the mccain camp, might have some insight as to why this would have occurred. i honestly feel bad for sarah palin. she was thrown into the fire, and probably didn't know what she was getting herself into. she has looked a lot better and more free in the recent weeks, and even i'll admit i've gained respect for her speaking from the heart and not off of republican script rhetoric. i honestly just wanted to know your thoughts on WHY that happened, because I have no idea...

Btown,

her ratings fell for one she was out of Alaska. They are different up there. I lived ther for 3 years 7 months - 16 months in Iraq.

The call it the lower 48. They are proud to be Alaskans and she would have left them. Plus the investigation that Obama's people called for. Not the second one the official one she was cleared on but the DEM Alaska House one where she commintted no crimes but was just guilty of running against Obama one. The media really went after her. She made some mistakes yes but none as stupid as Joe Biden but the media looked over those and went after Palin. She took the attacks for the team and her rating fell a little. That is the price one pays for going for the big cup. If she wants she will be re-elected in 2010. She at best becomes a Senator. She will never get the Nomination and will never be VP again.

If the MSM had been pulling for McCain, it would have been so easy to make Biden look like Quail V2.0. I'm afraid we are in for some rough years, and it's difficult to predict what will happen. Will we turn into the USSR V2.0, or revert back to the founding principles that made us the most successful country in the history of the world.

One thing that OldSchool, Btown, etc don't appreciate is how mean the libs will be if they get enough power. You can kiss free speech and many other constitutional guarantees "good bye" if they continue to increase their support.

You both are as biased as anyone I've ever met. I'd love to vote Republican if there was a viable candidate, and instead both of you bury your heads in the sand and lump me in with the people voting for Obama just because I'm not blindly following a party like both of you. Did you miss the memo that I voted for Barr? Don't let logic cloud your hating.
