Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,

Curry held scoreless today against Loyloa MD. Only took 3 shots for some reason. I never thought I would see the day when he would go scoreless
that's odd.

I guess half the game he stood in one corner with 2 guys on him, and Davidson was literally playing 4 on 3 basketball. Thats pretty much giving up if you ask me.
did davidson win? if so, i like the use of the decoy but i bet curry was pissed that he didn't get his touches.

I loved watching Curry play in the NCAA tournament last year. One other guy to watch is Patrick Mills of St. Mary's.
Well, if you want to watch Patrick Mills, then you'll be forced into watching Ben Allen....

If Allen would just learn to stop shooting three's, his height a lone would make him a decent player in the WCC. Allen's 6-7 from 2-point land this year.... too bad he's 2-9 from three.

They won by 30. Curry got 2 fouls in the first half. He doesn't really seem to care much about touches, he usually gets his, but he cares more about winning. Heck, he gave up a shot last year against Kansas that would have put him in a different stratosphere as an individual player if he hit it.

People know who he is, Davidson winning is what will get him more recognition. As long as they are ranked, his highlights will be on ESPN and they'll get a decent tournament seed.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

yeah, but he's also a competitor and competitors like taking/hitting shots. don't get me wrong, i love the decoy strategy, it seemed to have worked pretty well.

He was in foul trouble the entire game. It's like entering the twighlight zone when Curry is held scoreless. But his teammates stepped up with him on the bench, so it's a big plus for Davidson.

Except he wasn't on the bench most of the game. McKillop was becoming so annoyed he just kept him in. I watched some of the game Curry realized they were double teaming him no matter what he literally just went and stood in the corner. The defenders followed him there each and every time. Weirdest thing I've ever seen.

Moronic strategy by Loyala (MD) in my opinion after the game their coach is credited to saying that "Anybody else ever hold him scoreless? I'm a history major. They're going to remember that we held him scoreless or that we lost by 30" Good plan throw the game so that your team can hold the title of keeping Stephen Curry scoreless. People with that mindset should not be allowed to coach.

Yes, it was very dumb, and even dumber to (somewhat) brag about it afterward. They lost by 30, and there was no reason to continue doing that after they were down 20.

Continuing to play him like that was downright disrespectful to Curry himself. Someone of that caliber who stays for four years definitely deserves more respect than that.

How was guarding him with 2 guys the entire game "disrespecting" him? That was disrespecting the rest of the team. By double teaming him, they showed the ultimite respect.

Because they weren't double teaming him to win, they were doing it merely to keep him from scoring a single point. Petty, stupid, and disrespectful.

I don't think Curry took that as an act of respect...just like Michael Jordan didn't feel "respected" when Magic and Isiah arranged the freezout in '85.

I'd say it's pretty disrespectful. He's an All-American and candidate for player of the year. They took him out of the game so that he couldn't get his stats, not because it gave them the best chance to win.
