Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Penn State opens up against New Jersey Tech.

That sounds like the kind of team that Northwestern State would pick for their own opener.

NW's coach subs like my son's 5th grade coach last year, 5 in, 5 out. That is retarded.

It's how he gets his players into the program...he is able to basically guys that they will get playing time from the get go. It's the same strategy they used when they beat Iowa in the 2006 tourney.

We are going to have to do way better on the boards as the season goes on.

you cant possibly expect this team to be strong in rebounding. what we are going to have to do is simply limit our opponents shots by using more of our possession time, or forcing turnovers. this is not going to be a pound-it-out team...its going to be one that simply has to out-strategy the opposition.

Yeah, this team will struggle on the boards this season. What Crean can try to do is get his players to crash the boards and box out during every shot. But what IU really needs to do is look for the best shots and collapse on the boards on the defensive end.

I think they did fine considering their general inexperience and talent level. I am not upset with that game at all.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.
