Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

...i'm still going with 15 wins...

...this team seems to have too much fight to go down...they will win some games that they're not supposed to and be a classic group of overachievers...

...they remind me of my Tennessee Titans...a group of guys who care more about winning games and the guy next to them than they do about their own stats...led by coaches who do a more than excellent job of keeping this belief alive...

...i don't know about you guys but no matter what happens i can guarantee that this will be an IU team that we will remember forever and will become one of our favorite teams of all time...

:goiu:
what I never understood is the way critics and pundits criticize this team. sure they're a bunch of freshmen, many of them three-star recruits (minus williams), but it's not like we pulled them out of a mental ward and asked them to play basketball. criticism is the best form of motivation for a team, so I hope the critics keep coming.

also, i was extremely impressed with the way our team handled themselves tonight. a few NSU players (#5, #1) tried to rile our players up on several occasions, but our players refused to stoop to their levels. you can tell this is a well coached and well disciplined team.
...well said...

As much as I respect FE, let Crean worry about the past and bring tradition back to IU and let's look forward to the future. I thought the team did well tonight and I can see there is some potential with this team. Maybe not NCAA or NIT bound, but they will win more than 9 games. I think they will beat a few teams they are not suppose to beat and I can see at least 12 wins with this team.

this season has very little to do with this season...

br
Huh? I'll assume you mean that this season will be a forshadowing of of the success that's to come in the future. I think all IU fans think the program will be successful in future years. However, I thought the post was supposed to be about this season. Who will be our go to guy in clutch situations, What style will we play non-conference vs. when we get into B10 play, How will the team grow from the beginning to the end of the season, Who will end up being our biggest contributors, Will Bob Knight embrace IU Basketball with TC as coach, etc.

I didn't see anything of the sort. The title of the tread does say, 'Official IU Season Preview', not The past and future of the IU Basketball Program.

i had like two paragraphs about this season. i explained how Crean should use a 4-guard lineup and create smart shots and turnovers while limiting our opponents shot attempts to cut down the threat of offensive rebounding and second chance points. i also ran a prediction thread. its obvious who our go-to guys are going to be...Taber for leadership, Pritchard for low-post presence, and the foursome of nick williams , devin dumes, verdell jones and malik story will probably shoulder the majority of the scoring load. how am i supposed to create a 10 page essay that your expecting based on that tiny amount of what SHOULD be common sense??? if i were Crean, thats my starting lineup. pritchard, williams, dumes, story, and jones. since the bottom of the Big 10 is so bad, with experience these guys will produce.

all the past i wrote about was just a re-hash of what has gone on. i do it every year when i write out a season preview.

P.S.....if Crean grinds 15 wins out of these guys, you can pretty much book it that he will be Coach of the Year. You can also bet that if he gets 15 wins out of these guys I will streak at my daughter's prom dance.

ps.. hypothetically if IU did get win #15, we'd want proof scratch that, it'd be in the newspaper..

yes, the whole story would be under the title "marvelously sculpted and toned 52-year-old streaks daughters prom". it would receive critical praise nation wide =)

Daniel Moore impressed me alot tonight. He reminds me of an Errek Suhr type of player with a little more playmaking ability.
