Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

call me crazy, but I think we will beat St. Joe's (our likely opponent) in the second round.

Actually, I could see IU going 2-1 in Maui after an opening loss to ND. St. Joes and Oregon are nothing special this year and already have a pretty ugly loss each.

A little seasoning and he'll be a beast. I think 11 and 6 will be his line this year.

I'm digging Moore. I'd make that starting point guard job his to lose.

I guess we will find out next game when he plays against the "real Luke Harangody". God I think the trip to Maui is going to be ugly. It just sucks that we finally get into that tournament when we have the worst team we have had in years.
I don't think it is a matter of "finally getting in". I'm pretty sure the rule is you can only be in the Maui once every 5 years and the last time we were there was 2003 with Bracey Wright when we won it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that though.

Why couldn't we draw Chaminade first round?

To contribute to this thread, I see GREAT upside to Tom Pritchard. He WILL be a force in the foreseeable future. Not to mention he's a southpaw, which switches it up a tad.

I can't help it but to be almost over-excited for next year to come. (Watford, Elston, Capobianco)

another double double
"Mr. Double Double" flubbed a perfect bounce pass on the key possession before IUPUI chucked up that 27 footer, and then he mauled their three point shooter. I've seen less contact at UFC matches. If players were allowed to have 10 fouls per game, I might agree with this thread.

IUPUI's shooter would have gotten that foul call almost anywhere in the country, even Cameron Indoor and the Breslin Center.

I watched it frame-by-frame on my HD set, and Pritchard was pushing him from the side and behind, making full body contact. The zebras have GOT to make that call. Not trying to give you guys shit, I would have happily been the beneficiary of that same no-call in Mackey.

LARs, Purdue's keys to defense is grabbing a guy by his uniform while making a cut off of a screen. Gene Keady mastered it and Porkchop still teaches it. So don't cry to us on an IU board about fouls. Purdue gets away with more fouls than any other team in the nation. Correct me if I am wrong, when you grab a guys jersey while he is going through a screen that is a foul. I think Keady picked it up from his football days and he tried it in basketball and has gotten away with it. More often than not, either the refs ignore it or don't see, but Purdue does it. So don't cry to us about bad calls. Purdue has gotten more than their share in Mackey arena. yernuts

Dedicated, I have zero tolerance for jersey grabbing. I will call that every time when I'm officiating.

I've never heard that charge before, and will watch more carefully the next few games.
