Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Everybody has at least one team that they root for (or at lease want them to do well) other than IU or Purdue. For me it is Southern Illinois. I seriously have no idea why, but yeah. Also, any team that is playing Kentucky.

Come and join in song together, shout with might and main. Our beloved Alma Mater, sound her praise again. Gloriana Frangipana, E'er to her be true. She's the pride of Indiana, Hail to Old IU!

Maybe you are a big fan of Webber and/or Painter?

Nope, hate Webber and am indifferent about Painter. I suppose the reason I pull for them is Jermaine Dearman. He went to Warren Central. My mom's friend teaches there and I got to meet him and shoot some hoops with him.

Ohio State for me, my parents both grew up in Columbus so I have a lot of family there. It makes it so much sweeter when IU beats them though.

It really depends on who is playing who. I am a huge fan of college sports and try to watch as many games as possible. In Football it is the actual games i like UM ND
Flor FSU Geo FLA hate both teams but love the matchup OSU UM probably not this year

Purdue ND

USC UCLA
then key games are played every week that are not year in year out games but games that matter for that season

Before someone points out I missed OK/Texas I hate that game

Basketball: Butler
Nothing beats an Astronaut

IU is my only team. I really don't have another team care for or want to succeed. Growing up I also liked UConn and Nova because of D. Marshall, R. Allen, and K. Kittles. Not so much anymore. When the NCAAs role around I'll root for the under dogs or who ever is in my bracket.

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

I used to also root for UNC in the mid-90's when they had Ed Cota, Shammond Williams, Vince Carter, etc. I loved that team, but I quit rooting for UNC at all soon after. I have hated Hansbrough from day 1. This year, my other team will be Davidson for sure. It appears they are going to be very tough this year, but they will struggle if Curry struggles.

Appalachian State, obviously! I graduated from there and live in boone. I also root for southern illinois because I'm from the carbondate area. We may meet in the playoffs this year again in boone, here's to hoping...all we have to do is win this weekend against western carolina, a bad team, in the battle for the old mountain jug and we have home field throughout till the championship game in chattanooga.

Going for 4 championships in a row!!!

who's your mom's friend? i went to WC.. Jermaine is a good guy, but I'm not a big fan of Southern Illinois' playing style myself. I typically find myself cheering for underdogs and any team not named Duke.
