Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

In Missouri they have a definition of a Hoosier. I ignorant redneck assfuck. A phrase can mean many things.

To me a Hoosier fan = Delusional homer that thinks a title from 1940 or 53 still matters.
you forgot about 76, 81, and 87. ^_^
76 tho outside the 30 year window was an undeated team so that one lives on forever because it was a special moment in Basketball 81 and 87 are still relevant because they happened in the last 30 years. I believe in the 30 year rule on championships
oh, ok. i don't think that many people brag about the '40 or '53 championships very much -- or for that matter the '76, '81, or '87 championships individually. it is pretty cool to say you have 5 collectively though.

I would agree with that. Actually I think it would be pretty cool to get the first one. I mean City college of New York has one, why not Purdue??

"Liberal, shmiberal. That should be a new word. Shmiberal: one who is assumed liberal, just because he's a professional whiner in the newspaper. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed

That has got to be our program's motto.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

i believe in the "we've ACTUALLY won a championship" rule.

purdue fans don't seem to care whether their team is the best...so long as there are a few moral victories scattered throughout the season.

IU fans don't seem to care whether their team is the best... so long as they have some old banners that proclaim them as best, and their good recruiting guarantees them a good team NEXT season.

Well considering people that don't win (Mike Davis) even after making a final four get run out of town shows that we care a whole lot about current success. Right now, we are just being realistic, no way in hell are team can make the tourny this year, so top 3 class next year, returning all of our best players from this season, whats not to be excited about?
