Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Are you serious, Enemy? Memorial NEVER has had even a decent football team in the past. This new coach comes in and they're heading to State in 3A.

They just won the boys and girls soccer state titles. If they claim a football state title, I'll friggin lose it. :banghead:

Why the fuck is Harrison like the only school in Evansville that doesn't have a state title in any major sport? Our only state title in a team sport was girls golf in 1988. Who gives a shit about that? The closest we came was in 1999 when the baseball team lost in the 4A finals. Our best basketball teams can't get past Indy teams at semi-state, and our best football teams couldn't get past regionals. It sucks, man. :pissed:

Beating Chatard is a mighty feat. They have been one of the best programs in the state regardless of class for many years. It helps that the game was in Evansville, but that is still a big win.

Who do they play in the state title game?
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

And to think as a junior last year I helped beat nearly that same team in the sectional championship....

Which is why I quit as a senior. Mt.Vernons coach is a fucking idiot.... and we definitely could have been in the same spot they are. Props to their new head coach, and to the players for actually building on where they left off last year.

...Coach Hurley is a firey ass motherfucker...when i played he was an assisstant coach and everybody knew he'd eventually be the man...and well hopefully this isn't just beginners luck and is a sign of things to come...

...and by the way they were a really good team back in the early 90's with coach Weinzapfel...we went to Semi-State and got beat by Cathedral if i remember correctly...

They play Bellmont from just outside Fort Wayne.

I officiated Bellmont's second round game versus Concordia. Tough game that could have gone either way. Bellmont has a very potent running game and can surprise you with a long pass. A QB and 3 backs that can break one on any play. A tough offense to defend.
