Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Ok, I have given up looking for it. Can anyone please tell me when and what channel they play on tomorrow??
I think I can watch another game, I know everyone keeps saying how we have to have low expectations and be positive, but tonight I was physically ill watching that game. I hope they improve a little bit over the season, cause this is just hard for a die hard IU fan to take.

And Bob, Porkchop well suits the double chinned beefcake of Painter.

Where are you getting this Krispy from the tan, lean Tom Crean? You might want to make the switch to digital here soon.

Yeah, coming from Bobo, that was pretty lame. On to the game.......

I agree with everyone about Jones. Looks like he just runs into the middle of the lane with at least 2 defenders around and chucks it up. Hello, you're the PG, when you're double-teamed, someone must be open to some extent.

On a bright note, and I only saw the first half, but I think Pritchard could be pretty damn solid if he does a few things over the years...

1. Learn to finish around the basket. If you can't finish, you can't play down low. And I think in time, he'll be more effective doing so.

2. Develop a mid range game. Now, I only saw the first half, but he has one of the best pump fakes I've seen in a while. Harangody and the rest were jumping in the air at Tom's will it seemed. Eventually they're just going to drop off and make him shoot it. The one outside shot that he had was VERY flat. Even my buddy who watches very little bball pointed that out. However, if he can start hitting that shot, then his pump fake will become even more deceptive. Then once he learns how to finish, I think he could be a staple as our PF for many, many years to come!!!
Pritchard is far and away the best player on the team so far. From the little that I've watched, he and Dumes look to be the only guys who should be playing in the BT right now. The rest would probably be bench/developmental/program guys but are being thrust into lead roles, kind of like Marcus Green was as a freshman for Purdue. That will pay dividends down the road.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I think Nick Williams has the talent to play in the Big Ten. He has been very quiet this year, but I would definitely like to see him be a little more assertive on offense this year. He looks like he has a nice mid-range game, but he's just playing a little too unselfishly.

After looking it up, I was surprised to find that Tom Pritchard is leading the team in FG%. I guess it's because he was 7-8 against IUPUI. But Nick Williams is second on the team. Dumes, Williams, and Pritchard will have to put the team on their backs offensively if they want to win games against decent competition.
