Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

...taking every chance he can to make a jab at Coach Crean?

First he started making fun of how he dressed, then his golf skills, and now he's getting on Raftery for saying that Crean is good at uniting a campus and getting fans excited.

I would cut this punk if I saw him on the streets. Who is it and has anyone else noticed?

Bilas and Raftery most definitely did, which is a result of the massive amount of respect Crean has from people involved in collegiate basketball. But there was a random third announcer that would just come in and act like a little kid that was trying desperately to make someone look bad but just couldn't get the job done.

McDonough is a Big East guy, he is a graduate of Syracuse. Not everyone in the world is enamored with Tom Crean. Some people won't be fans, just like some will be way too big of fans.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

I fall into the group that is TOO BIG of a fan of Crean, but that's completely fine with me. I want this guy to turn into a Bowden of Florida St. or Paterno of Penn St. of college football and stay his ENTIRE career. Great things are happening within the IU Family and the basketball program.

When did he say he was Paterno?

He simply said he wanted him to turn into a staple figure at IU like Paterno has turned into at Penn State.

However, boilergrad, as hard as it is to make out what in the hell some of your posts mean, I'm sure that your reading comprehension isn't much better.

Nothing wrong with that at all, as I'm sure every school that hires a new coach wants something like that. The thing is that sometimes not everyone is going to think it can happen. I've got a ton of respect for Crean, and he is a very good coach, but he has things to prove, just like about 90% of the coaches in America. And for the level that IU wants, which is probably nothing less than being in the nation's elite on a year to year basis, he has a ton to prove.

But that to me is the joy of being a fan of a program. It'll be fun, I hope that Crean does good things at IU. Not as good as Painter at Purdue though boilers

Thank you obatskii for understanding the meaning of that post. I wouldn't expect anything less than for it to go over a Purdue fan's head. In the simplest terms for those who have trouble understanding: I DO NOT want to have another coaching search anytime in the next 20-25 years. Not only do almost all Hoosiers fans agree, but on a national level people are starting to see why this is the guy for IU. I love it because you can tell that he is absolutely eating it up coaching at a place like Indiana. He looks like a kid in a candy store and I love it. Go Coach Crean!
