Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Wow. One game. Let's name a street after him!
no beer goggles, the point is that Paint Chips condemned Gordon's entire career after one game in which he played 4 minutes.

come to think of it, your moronic views were the same and I argued he just needs playing time. and look what happened once he did. BAM! :owned:

I said Gordon will be just good enough to hang around in the NBA for ten years. He seems right on pace.

I actually never said anything like that, Vision was the one that said that. I said you can't take one game and make him great or bad, you have to let the kid get time for at least a couple straight months.

Last night was a great game, and a step in the right direction. The key to being a solid contributor at the NBA-level though is coming back the next night and doing the same. And then the next, and so on.

I'm not going to crown him good or bad yet, its WAY too early to tell. I have my doubts, but last night showed he can do it, lets see if he does it consistently.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

I don't think anyone is trying to crown him, and I'm certainly not. The point is that Vision said he wouldn't never be a contributor on a NBA team, and last night more than proved that he can be. Now whether or not he's great, we shall see.

I completely agree. To think he'll never contribute is crazy. He'll play in the NBA for a long time. As you said, time will tell if he can be great or even good.

he didnt take IU to the final four either

lets name the court after him!!!!!!
Better yet, since he hasn't won anything yet, let's hire him as our football coach and give him a ten year extension.

Oh, wait, that only happens at Notre Dame.

Brum, I can't believe you aren't impressed with Dough-mer's ten wins in 2005. If he could just get Ty to build him another team, he might be able to do it again!

Gordon has 13 points on 5 of 9 shooting (3 of 7 from 3) with 3 minutes left in the first half tonight. Looks to have a pretty good follow up game.

i took eric's parents to the airport yesterday so they could fly to the game and see eric play tonight, and then have thanksgiving tomorrow. they are VERY happy and a little surprised with the amount of success he's had so far. i guess he's also pretty lonely out in LA, so it'll be good to have his parents come down there. Also, they gave me tickets to the Pacers vs. Clippers game at Conseco on Dec. 19. They told me that the Clippers and the Thunder played a few weeks ago, and Eric and DJ met up again which is cool.

Eric finished the night shooting 8-14 with 4/9 from deep and 4-4 from the line. That totaled for 24 points along with an incredibly impressive 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks with 3 turnovers.

Very, very impressive. A lot of the rookies, such as Mayo, score a lot, but not many can fill up a stat sheet like that. Hell, not many pros fill one up like that. If he could continue starting and getting a lot of minutes, I'd consider picking him up for my fantasy team and I wouldn't have to be a homer to do it. It will be very hard to keep it up, and it was against Denver, who isn't great defensively, but still, that is 2 great games back-to-back!!!

Two good games in a row. Thats definitely a start. I've always thought he had some ability, its a consistency thing, especially with his shot which seems to affect his overall game. I'm looking forward to the rest of his season, I hope he can put together a great one.
