Through 5 games, who is the most disappointing player so far? Vote more than one if needed. If you choose other, please list him. |

i'd have to say taber. i don't know why, but for some reason i thought he was going to be a really good team/floor leader. he hasn't shown much leadership ability at all, and naturally he hasn't contributed to the offense at all. maybe its just that i had too high of expectations for him. |

Taber's 15 min of fame are running out. He got a lot of attention because he was the only returning player from last years team. The fact is that he is just not a very good basketball player, especially in the big 10. |

yeah, everyone knows he's a terrible player, I was coming more from a leadership standpoint. even though i dont think anyone thought he would contribute very much to the offense (except for maybe this year), but I figured he'd be more of a team leader. |

I expected Williams to be the best player on the team, and from the time I've seen him on the floor, he has not impressed me at all. I don't think he'd get any playing time for any high major school right now. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Nick Williams, I think because my expectation of him was way to high. He is a role player, nothing more. Im disappionted in that. |

I still am not unimpressed with Williams games. I expected him to be our leading scorer, and that has been disappointing. It seems like a mental thing to me though. I think he could shoot/score more on this team, and SHOULD shoot/score more. He is being too unselfish and needs to shoulder more of the offensive load. VJIII is by far the most disappointing. I cannot stand watching him dribble into a big man with his head down 25 feet from the basket, or drive into the trees and throw up some garbage off the bottom of the backboard. |

I say VJIII and Dumes. I thought Dumes would shoot better from 3 pt range. He can't hit consistently. But I would have to agree that Taber needs to show more leadership. I honestly think that Williams and Story are quietly becoming good players and they sit back and let the game come to them. They are the most unselfish players, next to Moore, that we have and I think this is a good thing. :goiu: VJIII could be a lock down defender if he put his mind to it. With those long arms, he could reak havic in the passing lanes and get a lot of steal, but seems to be out of defensive position and he doesn't have a high IQ for the game. But I am glad he is here, but I think he will be the odd man out next year and could be the first to transfer. Maybe he will develop and if he doesn't transfer, we will be pretty deep in all positions. One thing he will have over the other players is a year of college experience and Crean can evaluate him after this year and he could work on his game over the summer. I have seen that happen when Knight coached players. :goiu: |

Williams future is in the capacity of AJ Moye Williams is about 6'3". Roth needs to be a bit less frantic a system to be productive. He'll have his moments. Jones I don't see being here this time next year. Tom Crean needs to be slapped for Jobe. Jobe has no business at a Div. one program on scholarship. He'll never catch up to the speed of the game. The Big Ten will blow his fucking mind. Dumes is what he is. Story could do some nice things off the bench next year if he sticks around. I like his drive and dish game. Next year: Taber/Muniru/Jobe Elston/Capo Watford/Story Creek/Williams/Dumes/Roth Rivers/Hulls/Moore That's my guess. I think we'll flirt with the top 25 and finish in the upper half of the conference and slipp in at a 7 seed into the tourney, then it's anything goes. |

Not bad BA, except Taber is a senior this year. Maybe you meant Pritchard starting at center. He'll be around and will be our go to post guy. Watford will play high and low, but Pritch is our center. Manuri and Jobe might tag team to smack at it like a volleyball, but are probably otherwise useless. We'll be real good, but it won't be next season. The season after, we'll be dancing for sure. |
