Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I know you guys are going to pick Hansborough since you all want UNC to win the championship so desperately, but I think differently. I've been up DeJuan Blair's ass ever since he came out of highschool and I was decimated when he was sent to Pitt. He has been frightening this season, averaging around 17pts and 13 boards, a couple blocks, and a couple steals. So, if you can put your bias and unmatched love for UNC aside for one minute, who do you all think would dominate who if Pitt and UNC were to match up? FYI, I did not vote.

Blair's going to be good, but he doesn't have the offensive moves of Hansbrough yet. Hansbrough just got done dominating last year's Big East Player of the Year, and I think a Blair match-up would be pretty similar except Blair would grab a few more boards than Harangody. I wouldn't look too much into Blair's stats so far as well considering they haven't played a top-25 team yet, so his numbers are a bit bloated from playing teams like Indiana (PA) where he went off for 27 points and 18 boards.

Ask Luke Harangody in a few weeks. I doubt if Blair dominates him as badly as Hansbrough did.

Hansbrough and its not even a question.

Take away your unbridled hatred for all things UNC and the fact that you enjoy bitching about every prospect who once mentioned IU but chose another school and you will see how clear it is how much of a better player that Hansbrough is.

Blair wasn't even on the first or second All-Big East teams last year (he was honorable mention), and they put 11 players on each team. He wasn't one of the 22 best players in his own conference. He isn't even the best player on his own team.

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Sam Young and Levance Fields are more important to Pittsburgh than Blair. Tyler Hansbrough is the determining factor if UNC wins a national title or not. If he's healthy the remainder of the year, the answer to this poll will also have a second National Player of the Year award under his belt.

I think Hansbrough is a great college player, not sure if he will make it in the NBA with his only skill set being able to bang in the post, and Blair is great too, only he isn't as important to his team as Hanbrough is. I think that Hansbrough will be the National Player of the Year though, I don't really ever root for North Carolina at all, but you cant deny the fact that they are miles above their competition this year, but hopefully they will lose at least one regular season game, or not go undefeated so Indiana will still be the last undefeated team ever.

I'm not going to vote because I say they both go off. These guys are both absolute beasts.

Yeah there's nothing I want more than for UNC to win another title. As we all know I just love the Duke/UNC rivalry. I definitely am not on here bitching about them all the time.....oh wait, yes I am...
