Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

This will be an interesting game. Not because I think we are going to win, because I dont, but I want to see how composed our guys are. As the Boiler pointed out above me, this really is IU's first true "road game". Its in very hostile territory at a good program with great players.

I will consider this game an Indiana victory if we are fearless, composed, and try our absolute hardest to create smart shots and force turnovers. I know there will be some silly turnovers and Wake Forest will capitalize on them, but I have faith Crean will bleed every ounce of hustle and effort out of our guys.

The Key Players: Tom Pritchard, Nick Williams.
Pritchard has to do his best to get us second-chance opportunites on the offensive glass, and ensure Wake Forest doesnt get second chance points on the opposite side by rebounding strong.

Nick Williams has the hot hand, and we need to capitalize on his shooting and slashing to try to get get Wake's bigs in foul trouble. If we can eliminate Wake's big men, we can at least limit their size advantage. If we cant get fouls on them, we need to push the pace and force them to keep up.

The Game Plan: Stop Jeff Teague!!
The guy that should be in Crimson n Cream was unfortunately banished to Wake Forest. He has had a few tremendous games. We've got to cut the head off the snake. Dropping in to help out on Teague's drives and cutting off his passing lanes will prevent easy layups and assists. If he cant distribute the ball, Wake cant score as effectively and hopefully we can get a few steals and turn them into fast break points while Wake's bigs are forced to struggle to match our pace.

Final Score: Wake 82, IU 59. Good effort, guys.

They are going to kill us on the glass. They have 7 guys that are 6'8" or taller.

Did we try to recruit Teague? If not, then that was a mistake. This Indy boy's got game.
