Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I'd say around 18-20. Not dropping at all after Oklahoma set us up for a bigger fall by losing another game right after.

LMAO - referencing overrated BT teams - including the same team twice.

MSU was now a top 10 team? link please.
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=280432509

It says:

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -- Purdue students didn't storm the court after the Boilermakers beat Michigan State.

That's because they're no longer surprised when the Boilermakers win big games.

Robbie Hummel scored a career-high 24 points as Purdue (No. 23 ESPN/USA Today, No. 19 AP) posted a 60-54 victory over Michigan State (No. 9 ESPN/USA Today, No. 10 AP) on Tuesday night
.

Wow, owning UB just gets easier every year!

But I agree that IU and Michigan State were overrated the entire year, despite being exposed early and often. Wisconsin, on the other hand, went to the Sweet Sixteen and also swept the "Final Four" Hoosiers.
and yet IU still clownstomped you - without a coach.

14 in the coaches poll, 17 in ESPN/USA

Better than I thought we'd end up at. Looking at the poll as a whole, I think there's a pretty big dropoff after the first 2, maybe 3 teams. College ball is definitely down this year as compared to last year. But it should make for a great year with tons of upsets and a lot of great games with unexpected results. Damn...I'm getting exciting just thinking about all the ball I'm going to watch in the next 4 months. I love this game!

EDIT: Oh, and just to make sure it's clear, it's just wrong how far UNC is ahead of everyone else. Hell, the rest of the league's all-star team might make a competitive game vs. UNC. Actually...

Stephen Curry
Johnny Flynn (I like him after watching him make the buzzer beater vs Kansas)
Kyle Singler
Luke Harangody
Blake Griffen/Hasheem Thabeet

I just threw this together, up for suggestions, but that'd be a damn good game vs a healthy UNC roster. I think UNC would be 5 pt favorites too.

Interesting post, Maker13...you make a very good point. UNC is just flat-out ridiculous this year. As for Purdue's ranking, I would've voted Purdue #17, so I agree with the media for once. I'm surprised the coaches still have us top 15.
