Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

this must be contagious. automobile heater core replacement. (for those of you who dont know, its what gives you heat in your car. detroit starts with this little box and then builds the car around it. thats why its buried deep inside the dash of most modern US built cars. its about a $500 job give or take anywhere in this country on any current make or model because the entire dash has to come out to replace it. now keep in mind about 25-50 dollars is parts and the rest is labor.)
a buddy of mine who is very good at auto repair did his '83 cougar by himself back in april and swore to God he'd never do another one. then mine went out in my '97 F-150 in may, and we replaced it in september. I swore I'D never do another one. took us 40+ beers and 12 1/2 hours to do the job.
now i find out today a friend of his wife's has gone out in her '91 taurus and has been out and bypassed since summer. she's been driving without heat up till now cause she a.) cant do it herself. b.) has "friends" who either cant or wont do it. or c.) up till now hasnt asked us. we tear it apart saturday morning. so, here we are again.... I said I'D never do another one. she's gonna buy the beer. the labor is technically "free."
anybody else here work on cars?
91' taurus? your labor and parts are more than that car is worth.

Been digging the song "Before Tomorrow Comes" by Alter Bridge.

I'm not a fan of Alter Bridge by any means, but I actually like this song.

some Jewish housewives were having lunch at a restaurant, and the waiter returns to their table and says, "So, is anything OK?"

Lining a small box with visquine is the best way to take a sudden, unstoppable shit if you are ever in the woods......it doubles as a Christmas gift to that special relative/friend. I recommend adding a card with something to the effect of: As soon as I saw this, I knew I had to give it to you.......and that was 5 months ago.

I also recommend keeping extra napkins in your vehicle at all times.
