Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

what's up with that? If they put the Pine Bluff high school game on TV, you would think they would televise the Ball State game.

The TV rights refer to the home team, and since its a MAC school, they don't really have much of a pull with ESPN. I'd love the BTN to work out a deal with the MAC since we play their schools in so many sports.

It shouldn't really be much of a game, so you probably won't be missing much.

We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

them rejecting the opportunity to play Boise State on national TV is looking more and more like a huge blunder.

What you say is true, but this is in reference to the upcoming Purdue at Ball State basketball game.

Considering what happened to Buffalo, maybe it was a good thing not to go play a top 10 team on its own field where its been nearly unbeatable at for the past decade or so.

oh, haha. didn't even know you guys played BSU in basketball this year. i thought you guys were saying that BSU's bowl game wasn't going to be televised, which would SUCK considering recruiting ramifications.

They actually play January 6th on ESPN, and they are the only college game that day.

The basketball game tomorrow makes me nervous. Sure we should hammer them on any court, but game like this tend to be very trecherous. I think about the Butler-ISU game of the '05-06 season everytime I think about this game.

don't worry, this will just turn into another home game for you guys. i remember going to iu @ ball state games in year's past, and out of 14,000 fans at least 12,000 were IU fans. it was insane, hence why they've stopped playing us. actually, the IU vs. ball state game was typically their only sellout, just as this game will probably be their only sellout of the year..

Im going to the game tonight at Ball State. Anyone else going? I'd much rather see a conference game but Muncie is only an hour from me compared to 2 1/2 to WL.

I doubt that. Turdue fans don't even travel to their own home games let alone to road games.

there will be a few thousand BSU fans there and that's it. I can understand why TV doesn't want to show this game. Match Game 1977 reruns with Charles Nelson Riley would draw better ratings.

There were quite a few Purdue fans. Announced the attendance at 8,000+ and I would say at least 3 thousand were Purdue fans. They were loud at times.... decent crowd. Funniest part was when the Paint crew had a chant war with the bsu student section. Purdue started chanting "Ball State High School", I thought that was a little ruthless haha but it was funny. Then the ball state section returned with "Hows your bowl game?" Right after that the paint crew fired back with "Buff-A-LO". The bsu student section were quiet after that.

Kramer played VERY well defensively. He had a couple nice steals and got fast break points out of them. On one of them he got drilled by a bsu guy who was called for the intentional foul. I honestly don't know how Chris got up after that, it didn't look pretty. Ryne Smith got about 4 minutes of playing time at the end of the game. The two 3 balls he hit were DEEP... about 3 steps outside of the new line. He has a sweet stroke, if he can bulk up a little bit to hold his own and not be a liability on the court he will be a nice addition to the team. All in all I thought they played pretty good. Still not shooting it as well as they are capable but I think that will come. I am looking forward to the Davidson game to see them get another test before conference play starts. Was the game online anywhere to watch?
