| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! Amazingly enough the same team IU is playing. Go figure. |

The predictor application calculates scores and gets decimal numbers not pure integers, as a result of rounding you may end up with printed scores that are sometimes the same. The highlighted team is the one that actually had the higher score. Example: Miami (Florida) AT California: 17-17 Miami: 16.927191582860825 California: 17.342298262536175 Both numbers round to 17. In the off chance that they are actually equal, the home team is the winner. |

maybe this is a stupid question, but how do they determine the "home" team in a Bowl game? |

USC is the home team in the Rose bowl. ND is the home team if there is a waffle house within a ten minute walk from the stadium, and Texas is the home team in any bowl where the state bird is a buzzard. |

I get the list of games from: http://prwolfe.bol.ucla.edu/cfootball/schedules.htm Whoever it lists as home is the home team. Though looking at ESPN it has Oklahoma as home in the BCS title game while the link above has Florida. (Which would make sense since Ok is #1 and UF is #2) Eitherway since it is a neutral site there is no added bonus for being at home, it is only used as a tie breaker, however none of the games predicted above were actually tied. The rounding makes it appear that way but they are actually not. So home and away do not factor in at all for these game predictions |
