Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

What's the status of Hummel and Kramer for tonight? I think we'll cover 13 if they are both healthy, and we'll cover it if they both sit.

Homely is still a virgin and Kramer still hasn't made a jumpshot over 4 feet.

Kramer's the guy we want to get 6-8 pts/gm every night, efficiently and quietly. He was exceeding this in the '07 tourney, but hasn't been very reliable since. He's still effective as a defender, but his offense has been disappointing. I don't know why he took the 3 that would have cut the Duke lead to 8 at the 3 min mark. Maybe he figured that nobody else could throw it in the fucking ocean that night, so he might as well fire one up.

I'm glad Hummel is focused on winning games and not the ladies, but I'm sure he'll do alright for himself when he's pulling down seven figures in the NBA.

Homely has a long long long long way to go before the NBA talk should start.

oh wait, I forgot, the GBI dweebs told me he is already a top 50 player of alltime.

Turdue's season is already talking classic form of a sophmore slump. Better hold off the 3 straight final 4 talk.

BTW - Kramer flat out sucks. His defense is overrated and his offensel is atrocious. I simply would not want him on my team if I wanted to win.

Kramer may be a bit over-rated, but he epitomizes the hard-nosed bball that has made Indiana bball some of the best in the world. If Hummel stays healthy, I think he's a lock to play some NBA minutes. Maybe better than Cardinal, but not as successful as Miller.

Cardinal had more size and toughness while Homely has a more natural feel for the game.

I honestly don't get the infatuation with Kramer. Sure everyone appreciates effort (see this years IU team) but when you have little talent and results it really doesn't matter (see this years IU team)

He is an unbelievably bad shooter and I say that because you would think a 6'3 white kid could at least develop a decent shot. His free throw shooting isn't very good, ditto for passing, ball handling etc. He simply isn't worth guarding for opposing defenses.

Speaking of defenses, he cheats passing lanes which leads to breakdowns. He tries to reach-around (no pun intended) and frequently gets beat - see Duke game. Sure, he wouldn't be a bad 8th or 9th man to give spot minutes but to give him all these accolades is purely delusional. I completely understand why IU didn't even bother recruiting him. He simply sucks.

I'm not going to disagree with most of that criticism, but overall I would say he's a good addition to most teams, and should get 15-20 minutes. His lack of offense is troubling. He needs to be able to make other teams pay for ignoring him, like he did against Florida two years ago.
