We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Thanks Btown. I knew Hummel was playing as I tracked the score on Play-by-play at ESPN's website. Looks like he's doing better. |

Hopefully to try to light some fire into him. He has not been playing as well as he should be. |

KG's shot and defense is slumping and really doesn't deserve to start at this point. |

KG played awful tonight and has been downright unimpressive for most of this season. I agree he doesn't deserve the start at this point. |

In fairness to KG he did spend the entire six months of off-season rehabilitating from his surgery. He is struggling, yes...but it will take time for him to get up to speed. It's not like the effort's not there. |

I never said the effort wasn't there or that he wouldn't get on track. I simply said his play did not warrant him starting tonight. I have no doubt he'll come around. |

The first lines from ESPN are great.... Ball State hadn't faced a suffocating defense like Purdue's since the Truman administration. Ball State produced its lowest point total in more than a half century as Purdue (No. 17 ESPN/USA Today, No. 14 AP) beat the Cardinals 68-39 on Tuesday night. The last time Ball State failed to score at least 40 points was in a 58-37 loss to DePauw on Jan. 12, 1952. And on a side note how the hell did this happen? The Boilermakers led 12-9 before 5-foot-9 point guard Lewis Jackson was called for goaltending with just over 11 minutes left in the first half. |

I was there he got called for goaltending because he smacked his hand against the backboard on a fast break and the ball wasn't even close to going in, it didn't even hit the rim. |
