Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

yeah - just what IU needs: another undersized bricklayer.

True, since IU's current roster looks like a midget mason union meeting.

The first lines from ESPN are great....

Ball State hadn't faced a suffocating defense like Purdue's since the Truman administration.

Ball State produced its lowest point total in more than a half century as Purdue (No. 17 ESPN/USA Today, No. 14 AP) beat the Cardinals 68-39 on Tuesday night. The last time Ball State failed to score at least 40 points was in a 58-37 loss to DePauw on Jan. 12, 1952.

And on a side note how the hell did this happen?

The Boilermakers led 12-9 before 5-foot-9 point guard Lewis Jackson was called for goaltending with just over 11 minutes left in the first half.
I was there he got called for goaltending because he smacked his hand against the backboard on a fast break and the ball wasn't even close to going in, it didn't even hit the rim.
Well that sucks, he should know better in IHSA basketball if you hit your hand against the board like that its a Technical usually after a warning though. Almost every Illinois high school player knows that., just like you do not dunk during warm ups.

Interesting how his IQ never was that bad, until he turned down IU.

Sampson may have offered him a contigent scholie depending on which other guards committed to IU.

Seriously, Turdue can have him. He's 5 foot nothing and can't shoot a lick. Good luck with that.

actually - IU pullled their offer when his poor academics/ability to qualify were called into question.

Correction:

IU pulled their offer when Sanctions realized Jackson wasn't interested in coming to Bloomington. After that, bitter, jealous IU fans made up lies, and started rumors about his academics.

In fairness to KG he did spend the entire six months of off-season rehabilitating from his surgery. He is struggling, yes...but it will take time for him to get up to speed.

It's not like the effort's not there.
Yeah he definately shouldn't be put down. I was just saying he wasn't really contributing enough yet to start. I believe he will get there. Not only did he miss most of the summer, the 3 point line got moved back so he didn't really have much time to get used to it.

KG's shot and defense is slumping and really doesn't deserve to start at this point.
How exactly does your defense slump?

Your timing is off because you're a half-step slower than you think you are. That would be my idea of a defensive slump.

When it is not as good as it usually was in the past.
