The fact that Forte is the team's leader in catches says a whole lot about the state of the team's WRs. He isn't awful. He isn't great either. I said he's putting up a solid season, which is what is happening. He's 7-5 and put up average stats. You need to find something better to do than obsess about Purdue. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Orton is a dink and dunker. Even Loverboy Smith realizes Orton is simply not very bright and must simplify the offense for the corky |

So he is supposed to throw downfield when his starting WRs are Brandon Lloyd and Rashied Davis? When your best two targets in the passing game are your TE and RB, you are going to have problems. You dink and dunk when your WRs can't get open downfield. |

uh, you're telling me Hester can't get downfield now that he is playing WR? Loverboy simply doesn't trust Orton to throw downfield for fear of another 5 pick game. Orton isn't the worst QB in the league, but he's close. |

18th in QB rating would put him in the middle third. Chicago has one of the two or three worst WR cores in the league. |

Because Lloyd has only played in 8 games this season. He was on pace for 60 catches, 1000 yards and 4 TDs through Week 4 and then he got hurt and a month and a half and has been a gimp since. |

Orton was pretty bad before this season, but has made a lot of progress. As a Bears fan, I'm willing to see if he can continue on his current trajectory, and if so, he'll be a top 10 QB in a couple of years. |

Just as there's no question as to who's a better quarterback, there's no question as to who will win this game. saints in a rout. |

 That SLV is some good shit. Orton 2.0 is serviceable. If he reverts back to Orton 1.0, the Bears will need to continue their 20 year search for a good QB. I still think Orton 3.0 is a realistic possiblity. |

Please let me know the next time 2 QB's from Notre Dame or IU face each other in an NFL game... I'll be sure to set my TiVo. Thanks. |
