They do. Another game that doesn't help us get better. |

At least the Ball State game was on the road, any road experience is a good experience even if it is against a shitty team. ISU provides no real benefit, except to act as a final tune-up before we play Davidson. |

I agree the BSU game does help some because of the road game. I just think playing these patsies doesn't make us better. We can play a sloppy game (Ark. PB) and still clobber the other team. Turns into streetball and our turnovers go up, among other things. |

I personally would rather lose to Duke, and Oklahoma then play Ark PB, and their ilk and win large. A 50/50 split of patsies and real teams would be nice. |

I am unimpressed with the Boilers in the first half. There is alot of work to be done to compete in the BigTen. |

We're not a very good team right now. ISU is dribble penetrating against us at will. KG looks like he started playing ball a couple weeks ago. Offense is stagnant. Davidson will kill us if we play like this. I'm pretty disappointed at our progress so far this year. There's still plenty of time, but we're not getting better right now. |

Hopefully its just playing down to your competion. Duke we just played horrible. But against Oklahoma we didnt look to bad and went to overtime and had some chances to put them away. But your right we have not looked real good as of late. |

Agree with everything you say. We have lots of work to do. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Agreed, KG looks like shit including dribbling off his knee/foot TWO times, and Kramer looks mediocre. Thank goodness for Jackson, he's going to be a big time player, easily better than anyone IU's putting on the court right now. |

Jackson had maybe his best game. He's starting to figure out what to do when he penetrates, even finished a couple for layups. Teams are going to have to bring help defense on him and that will open up some outside shots, assuming our shooters will rotate to the open spots. Robbie also had a good game. |

ISU out hustled us today, the only reason we managed to sniff out a win was because we had so much more talent. KG has become a liability on the floor, Moore's decision making skills have gone down, and our ability to take care of the ball has fallen completely off the map. If we play like this against Davidson they roll by 20+ next Saturday. We've just flat out sucked the past few weeks. Edited by boilerup86, Dec 13 2008, 04:39 PM.

This seems like a trend of Painter teams. We looked down right rotten last December. Hopefully, we can snap out of it like last year. |

You're dead on. Moore is the biggest head scratcher for me. I expected the guy to dominate some games and be very good in the others. He looks a little hesitant most of the time. His passing and ball handling are terrible. I thought after him having to handle the ball in Australia he would work on that area of his game and improve. I was obviously in error. |
