Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

IMO, this game is a HUGE momentum game heading into conference play.

Is anyone here planning on going to the game?

I'm heading to Pauley Pavilion tomorrow to watch UCLA vs LMU... it should be a blow out.

Since you are on my "ignore" list, I don't know what your response was, and, since it's after 5pm in Ft. Wayne, I assume that you will not be responding again until tomorrow morning.

Whatever happened to your home in SoCal?

Couldnt agree more. We need this game, if we dont win this game we will have no big win outside of conference.

I am going and would love to see Curry put up 50 in a purdue win. He is worth the price of admission.

How do you think Curry will play when he has to wear Kramer around all night?

He is going to get his points. We have to do what WV did execpt do it for 40 min instead of 35. We also have to make sure no one else has a good game. I also dont think Kramer should guard him the whole game. Maybe even try Hummel on him at times, when WV had Ebanks on him he struggled. Ya i know he would drive by Hummel but thats where the help defence comes into play.

Kramer cannot handle Curry. Moore and lewjack will have to contain him. I think he goes for 25. Purdue wins by 8 80-72

If Grant was in basketball shape, I would want him to handle most of the defensive assignment...but he's not there yet.

So having said that, I would say we should mix it up between Grant, Kramer, Green, Moore, and possilby Hummel. Curry can shoot right over Jackson. Green will likely pick up fouls, but will make Curry work to get open in the meantime.

Vision,

Curry is playing point this year LewJack can distrupt the Davidson off. I agree we will need to rotate people at him. If KG was 100% he could handle the task but he might have came back to soon. He was good in the Okla game but has fallen off since then.

Yes we will have to rotate guys on him-I think you are right. I also agree that if Grant was in top shape he would prob be the best to defend him. I just said Kramer because I know KG isn't totally healthy. I don't know if Moore or LewJack should get the majority of time on him. I think they will end up picking up easy fouls-just due to lack of experience not ability. Green would prob get into foul trouble too.

Im afraid Hummel would pick up too many fouls trying to guard Curry. He has that problem anyway, and a guy like Curry would only exploit that. I definitely agree we will be rotating guys to guard him all game tho.

Kramer is a very good defender yes, but can not handle a guy like Curry for 40 minutes. Nobody can completely contain him. I do think he will get the bulk of the time guarding him tho.
