Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Its early, but it currently has us at a 3. Our path would be Pacific/Baylor/Georgetown/Oklahoma. Sign me up for that path please.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Baylor would be a tougher out this year.

I don't even want to think about that team in 2 or 3 years.

They are definitely a team on the rise. They've been recruiting well and are ultra-athletic. Their '09 class has a top 40 kid right now, and are in good position with the #1 prospect in the country, John Wall. Him in that system would be downright scary. They also are in with another top 25 prospect. They already have the number 1 prospect in Texas locked up for 2010, 5 star Perry Jones.

They are a sleeping giant. If they ever learn to play defense, they'll be a tournament team year in and year out.

Georgetown is definitely good. But here are the other roads for a 3 seed:

East Tenn St/Memphis/Syracuse/UNC
Vermont/Nova/Duke/UCONN
Cornell/Arizona St./Gonzaga/Pitt

I'd take the road we'd potentially have. The Nova/Duke/UCONN road is a death march. Memphis and UNC bracket is terrifying. Gonzaga and Pitt back to back woud be near impossible. I like a G'Town matchup. They don' score a whole lot, and I think our 3 point shooting could put a lot of pressure on them.

I like our road because we have proven ourselves against two of the teams in the past 9 months, and our first round game would be a cupcake. Baylor, who is improved, was a team that we just pounded last year, and even if they are better, I think we are better also. Although the Griffins abused us, we lost in OT. That was a very winnable game and Oklahoma isn't a team I have my doubts about competing against. Georgetown is good, but not scary good.

Pitt frightens me a little bit.
