| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=3863881 If wonder if the Alabama job opening has anything to do with this. They've already hired one liar as their football coach, why not show some consistency and sign another one. |

Sir bri we all are very grateful. I know it happened around the time of all the bullshit with Sampson but you and jaz created a great place to talk sports. You have moderatly lowered my hatred of all things IU |

No way in hell Alabama goes after Sampson. Their football program just got rocked by NCAA violations about 4-5 years ago. That would be the dumbest decision they ever made. Their fans want Mike Davis for whatever reason, but with everything going on at UAB now, I doubt that happens. If I'm a school with a coaching opening, I'm throwing a large sum of money at Anthony Grant from VCU. He was an assistant at UF through the Donovan years. He was the associate HC for the first title that UF won, and was credited with being a great recruiter and a huge factor of landing the '04 class of Brewer/Horford/Noah/Green. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

Ignorance is bliss for some. I think I'm going to start the Anthony Grant fan club though. |

i like grant too; but I don't think Bama is the place for him. Bama is one of those schools where basketball will always live in the shadow -- it'd be hard as hell to build an elite program there. |

Thats why I think he'd be a good fit there. He coached at UF for 10 seasons. He knows what its like. With the amount of athletes in the south, he'd be able to get that turned around in a year or two, and then when he started winning, he'd be a recruiting juggernaut. He plays up tempo, and likes to press, he'd be able to find so many lightly recruited players that would just wreak havoc in that system right away. Wherever he goes, he'll have some really athletic teams that overachieve, then his 3/4th recruiting class will be a monster. Then he'll bolt to UF when Donovan finally goes to the NBA. |
