Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Rowley traveled on the one play. Coble did not travel.
bullshit. he made one good off balance shot in the lane where he didnt travel. im not talking about that one. the other one, he took 3 steps after picking up his dribble. the rowley no-call cost us 4 pts that possesion anyway. and then theres jones...*shakes head*
The only one resembling a travel was one where he had his left foot as his pivot foot, and did two little jab steps through the lane with his right foot. He never brought his left foot off of the ground until he shot though.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

goddamnit. he had the ball on the outside of the lane left side of the basket halfway down. he pivoted around and then took 3 steps high and released the ball dead center of the free throw line. they replayed the "great shot" and even my 13 yr old and 9 yr old said , "dad, he traveled."

No offense to your 13 and 9 year old kids, but they were wrong. It looked ugly live, but he never picked up his pivot foot. The dude is 6'8, he covers quite a bit of ground with one step.

And yes obatskii, I'm stubborn and will argue this to the end!

we must not be talking about the same shots. furthermore, what about the hook he gave tabor? that ill let go, shit happens. 3 steps without a dribble is a travel.

That hook was a bad no call. You won't get any arguments about the refs here.

They let the game get out of hand for too long, then they try and reel it back in and call everything. Ruins the flow of the game. Thats why in the NBA, for about 40 minutes a game, teams don't play defense. Refs call too many fouls, so both teams just play little defense and let things happen until the last 8 or so and go from there.

The call I'm getting sick of the most are charges. Any play in the lane any more, players are just running into people trying to get charges. Getting under people after they've jumped, foul calls 3 seconds after the ball has left a player's hand, and my favorite of the charging call after the ball has left the shooter's hand and hit the rim.
