Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

It's just a skit that SNL did. Nothing more.

Not to hijack the thread, I think UB was spot on with his summation of this year's team. Danny Moore doesn't deserve to be in Division 1, I don't care how young/inexperienced/bad this team is.

point guard play has killed us all year. ub hit it on the head. jones is struggling, for lack of a better term now, and moore is frightful. we have some shooters, albeit streaky, and guys who can get to the basket. our pg play really muddles things on offense.

I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. Guard play in general. Crean's system involved guards dominating the ball. With that, there will be lots of turnovers by those guys, but you have to have them be able to create good looks for themselves and others. Other than Jones and Dumes in spurts, there isn't anyone that can do that right now on a consistent basis.

Look at the stats of Marquette's three top guards the past few years. They all had 2+ turnovers a game. But when you look at how much they have the ball and how much they are asked to do things, that'll happen. Same things are happening now at IU, except Jones and Dumes aren't as good as those other 3 and they are inexperienced so its a bit exaggerated.

Most other years he'd be winning an Intramural Championship this winter.

This thread sounds like an echo of things I said 6 weeks ago. Nice to see some of you are finally agreeing.

Nobody disagreed that the team was bad and the players make mistakes.

Everyone disagreed with your assessment that Crean shouldn't have given out the scholarships that he did, save the one to Jobe.

If Adam Ahfeld had a couple more years of eligibility , he'd be a star.

imagine Crean having Devin Ebanks and Holloway. considering how good a PG Holloway is (ask Xavier), this team would be 5-7 games better than they are right now.

They were signed to SAMPSON not CREAN or IU. If they were signed to IU, they'd had stayed.
