Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Morgan also missed the NW game. Not much of an excuse for MSU though. Even without Morgan, their talent level and experience is vastly superior to both teams...not to mention both games were at home.
The box score I saw shows he played 18 minutes in the NW game but didn't start. He is averaging 16 minutes in the last 3 games he has played. He shoots less than 70 percent from the foul line. Lucas is much more important to MSU than Morgan.

You can't blame a team's loss on one player(who isn't even their best player)not playing since for all you know his replacements played better than he would have.....especially when the guy's minutes have been cut in half recently and he hasn't exactly been playing well as of late.
He's their second leading scorer and second leading rebounder and shoots 56% from the floor. I think he is pretty important to them. Without him, they have a 6 man rotation.
on what.......7 shots per game. What does that tell you when their alleged 2nd best player is the 2nd leading scorer shooting 7 times per game and hits less than 70 percent from the line........MEDIOCRE.
Scoring more points on less shots is bad now? Really? So now we judge how good a player is solely on how many shots you take and what your FT percentage is. Brilliant.

You are right though, losing an All-B10 player should have no effect on MSU.......
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Effect, yes. Again you can't say his replacements played worse than he would have, especially when you consider he has only been getting 16 minutes per game over the last 3 he played in.......why would an all BT player that is obviously super efficient have his minutes reduced? He was out against PENN ST with the flu. The fact is that MSU lost to NW at home with him, so losing at home without him to PENN ST isn't a stretch......and that's my point. MSU isn't really that good in the first place. Didn't NW go 1-17 last year?

He's been sick with some sort of viral infection. He's been sick for two weeks, thats why his minutes are down. Here's a quote from Izzo about him:

""We have an offensive lineup and we have a defensive lineup and we have an in-between lineup, and with Raymar out, the in-between lineup is in trouble."

Northwestern is better this season. You do know that teams can improve right? Try not looking at the names on the jersey when teams play. MSU will be a second weekend tournament team.

Enter "that proves how down college basketball is" statement................ now.

Why are you living in the past, Evil? "Didn't NW go 1-17 last year?" Christ, did it ever come to you that teams and players can improve? Yes, these are two games that MSU shouldn't have lost. But Morgan has not been 100% and Delvon Roe has been hurt all year. Plus, upsets happen, man. It's how it goes in college basketball.

I suppose you think Wake Forest is also overrated because they lost at Georgia Tech?

Probably Pittsburgh is overhyped because they fell at Villanova?

Maybe Oklahoma sucks since Arkansas upset them in Fayetteville?

Losing to good teams is now an accomplishment in the eyes of UB and Irish.
