Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Matt Roth can flat out shoot. He almost single handly kept us in the game. After this display, I think he is a keeper. If UB had him on the bubble, this performance should sway him to say he is a keeper as well.

Where as Dumbass, I mean Dumes, throughout this game. It is like the guy pretty much disappeared.

I was like Tim, I thought we would win this one. Oh well, we will win at least one game and I think we at least get Iowa and NW at home.

Roth and the entire is improving even though we didn't win. I think the future is very bright for IU.

He's a one man zone breaker. I've yet to figure out why anyone besides Northwestern would zone IU.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Definitely the lone bright spot in today's game. Roth will be on next year's team. He's still going to lead the B10 in 3's made by the time he graduates.

Unbelievable shooting display. What a pure stroke he has. He is a bit of a defensive liability, but he sure made up for it today.

I feel pretty strongly that we'll add another player to next years recruiting class. I also would be willing to bet that as it stands Story is the guy that wont be back. I would really like for Dumes to be the other but I cant see a scenario that makes that happen. I think he'll be trouble next year once we have the talent to force him down the pine. Roth with a real point guard to run the team and some talent to force the D to collapse will be a menace.

Pritchard, Elston, Watford, Creek and Rivers starting with a second unit of psycho high energy guys: Hulls, Capo, Roth, Williams and an occasional glimpse of Muniru and Dumes will make us every bit the team that OSU is this year.

I think the most impressive part was the accuracy. I think he was 9-11 and his only misses I can think of was the throw up before the end of the half and the block were he picked up a "foul".

I think we will be one of the deepest teams in the B10 and country as well. With the experience everyone is getting this year and add next years recruiting class, we won't falter near as much down the stretch. You may even see Crean full court press more.

Where was Jones III on that list. I think with his late improvement, he deserves to be on that list as well. You named 11 guys and Jones will see more playing time than some of them. That makes 12 men deep. DC is probably right Minru might be a project but he has to be better than Jobe. With him out of the picture, then that still makes us 11 deep and all with equal talent. I think Rivers will get the most minutes with his experience and defensive pressure.

We will have a deep bench. Everyone will be of equal talent that is coming in and the experience that current players are getting now. I am not saying we will be NCAA bound, but Crean will have more interchangeable parts and this will result in more wins next year. At least .500 or a little better and we won't get worn down at the end of games like we have this year.

What makes any of you think we won't be deeper than most teams? Just curious.

i mean, if all the talent we have pans out, you could be right, it's just impossible to know. i mean, there definitely is truth to the statement that we will have better-rested players down the stretch. i think the only new player that we can really expect to contribute significantly is jeremiah rivers, everyone is is just unkown. i don't necessarily get myself wrapped up in the incoming class hooplah. look no further than the IU 2004 class for the reason why.

You are right. I will retract my statement and say potentially! Hell, after the season started and seeing this team play during the first 15 games or so, who would have thought we would be competing in the last 5 games? Even though OSU beat us by double digits, we competed and this game seemed a lot closer than the final outcome. That is what makes me think that Crean will develop next years more talented recruiting class to a level better than this years team. That is what makes me think we have the potential to be one of the deepest teams in the B10.
