You won't win it this year, next year or even the following year. I have no worries. I said that IU will be deep because they have at least 6 players this year contributing to a team that has competed in most games, not all, but most and has really improved a lot over the past 5 or so games. Take those 6 players, who has proven they can play, maybe not win but compete, on a D1 level with the 5 recruits and Rivers and they makes 12 interchangeable parts of pretty equal talent. Rivers by far will get the most minutes, but anyone of those players will contribute next year. He may not play all 12 in one game, but they will all see action depending on the opponent. I will say we will average 10 deep every game. I don't know of too many teams going 10 deep every game. So why won't we be the deepest team in the B10? I don't have to see any of those freshman play to know they can't be worse than the freshman class we have now. |

Because other teams have better players now and are adding very good players also. IU isn't the only team in the B10 doing good things. Purdue, MSU, OSU, Minnesota, and Illinois will be more talented and deeper next year. Northwestern, UM, PSU, and UW will be right on par, but more experienced. But you are an IU fan and optimistic, so I'm sure you won't look at the other teams, and just assume that what IU is doing is better. |

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves." "I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I remember that conversation...it wasn't about "top 10" teams. Actually, it ended with me saying Purdue will take their record and ranking and ND can have theirs. I may have even said something about you justifying ND's losses to make yourself feel better. |

I pray to God that IU's new recruits aren't bad enough to be considered 'interchangable parts' with most of the current guys. |

Grad I agree. Its better when both teams are good, much more meaningful. |

Evil's right on this, if IU's incoming recruits are at the same level as the players you have now, it's going to be another long season. The dropoff from bad to holy-shit-god-awfulness has caused a couple of IU's losses, but if all you can do next year is make the bad players deeper on the bench, that's not much of an improvement. I'd be hoping for an instant upgrade on every player on the team right now. |

I am saying equal because the players coming back, with already 1 year of D1 experience, should be equal to our incoming recruits. I am saying that our incoming recruits are an upgrade and the experience the existing players are getting will be equal to them. That is all I will say on this because this isn't going anywhere and nobody on the Purdue side really cares. What happens on the court next year will be what matters. We will see how things turn out. |

2nd round exits at Purdue are equal to Elite Eight losses for IU. Mediocrity at Purdue isn't something that's just regularly achieved, it's all part of the plan. YES WE CAN! |

Cam Purdue is good, Painter is good, and your future is looking good, but I'm going to pull the card you guys used against IU fans last year: until you actually do something in the tournament, its all talk. You guys called out IU fans for being stoked about our team last year. Well unless Purdue makes it to at least the second weekend, this team is simply a good team, but nothing special. Also I believe by Crean's third season IU will be to where Purdue's at now, and I'd take that. |

Being nationally ranked. Then preseason top 10. And now ranked in the top 15. Considering where we came from, thats bouncing back and some. What would you consider "bouncing back"? |

Final Fours and Championships. I assume that's the goal for most teams in college basketball. But I guess at Purdue, being ranked will do. |
