Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I really really want an Obama voter/supporter to read my assessment of the cabinet situation, and respond from their perspective as to how they feel about it. Here it goes.

President Obama appointed cabinet members, 3 of which have since been shown to have cheated on their taxes in some way.

The 1st of those, Tim Geitner, is going to head the IRS. Obama stood behind Geitner regardless of his tax problems, and he was then confirmed for his position by the Senate.

The next was the highly publicized Tom Daschle who also turns out to be a tax cheat. Obama states that he is "absolutely" standing behind Daschle's appointment. 2 hours later Daschle withdrawls himself from appointment.

About an hour after that, Nancy Killefer withdrawls her name from appointment as well due to a potential "tax controversy".

Later that evening Obama goes on CNN & Fox News and admits that "he made a mistake" in backing Daschle because it sends the wrong message to the public that government officials are held to a different set of rules.

So, if Obama "made a mistake" with Daschle (after Daschle pulled himself out), then why isn't Obama acting to IMMIDIATELY remove Timothy Geitner from his cabinet position?

Is this the "change" that everyone was looking for? Is this the "new Washington" that motivated you guys and millions of other voters? It is easy for me and other anti-Obama posters to sit here and bitch about this stuff, but i would love to hear what you guys have to say about this sort of logic and his decision making regarding it.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.
