Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

The Democrats are having a planning retreat in Williamsburg VA. President Obama flew from DC to Williamsburg on a Air Force 1 747 to travel 3 hours. I understand he is the President and DC and Northern VA traffic is a bitch but seriously answer me these three quaestions

1. Do the house Dems really need a tax payer retreat in Williamsburg when they have plenty of Gov paid space in DC???

2. Could the mighty one not find a less enviromentally damaging way to travel from DC to Williamsburg?????

3. Why would the President that is not about the politics of old and party politics go visit the House Dems retreat??????

Definitely a waste of money having it there.

2. Could the mighty one not find a less enviromentally damaging way to travel from DC to Williamsburg?????

That doesn't bother me at all. He's got a whole crew that follows him around, and I'd much rather have them flying than having the secret service shutting down sections of an interstate.

3. Why would the President that is not about the politics of old and party politics go visit the House Dems retreat??????

Because he's a Dem... and those are the people that will get his agenda passed.

Because of all the whining about Obama's mode of transportation, I propose a new one pictured below. It's much less wasteful AND it puts money in the working man's pockets.

1. I agree with your answer to one and three

2. But the 747 he has a fllet of planes to pick from and Helicopters. Did he really need the Biigest plane to fly to Williamsburg??????? I agree it is logistically feasible for nim to fly but the 747???? He has more than one aircraft to pick form Air Force ONe is whatever plane he is on.

The 747 is still considered to be the "cadillac" of planes. So what do you expect The Messiah to choose, bg01?

Well, I wasn't really analyzing the choice in jet, just that it made more sense than driving. It would be hard to argue without knowing how many people hitched a ride. When I book a corporate jet, it may start with just a few people, but normally almost every seat is full by the time we take-off. Not really sure if Obama allowed others on his jet, but with that many people coming from DC, it would make the most sense for all of them to take a couple jets instead of driving separately.

Wow, that is totally fucked up. But she cares about the environment, so it's ok.
