all b10 teams = mediocre at best.
br
cosign. the BT blows. Tangent!
Just kidding. I thought I would add a little humor.
Has anyone noticed that the only ones that are going against Evil are the Purdue fans. Is that because they are trying to justify their team of the century. Hell, even a blind man can see that the B10 is mediocre. I think our team is bad, but when you can compete in 80% of your games and the rank teams aren't beating us 20 plus points, then the teams are mediocre. Like I said before, the top 10 teams this year wouldn't be in the top 15 from 1987. That is how bad college basketball is as a whole.

The Big Ten is down so you go back to 1987
Why 1989 when we had two teams in the final four or 1992 when IU and Mich made the final four.
You live in the past see your sig and comparing 1987 to today.
have fun in the past
Teams play down to IU

compared to the BT of the past, this league flat out stinks and has stunk for most of this decade.
this lousy turdue team would finish 5th or 6th in most BT typical years of the 80's or 90's
to say otherwise proves your ignorance

The only reason why I bring up 1987 is because I just watched IU/Syracuse in the championship game on the Bigten Network and the top teams this year wouldn't hold a candle to any of those teams. I can say 1979, 1992, or some year before players started really defecting to the NBA. It is the NBA that has ruined the college game and college basketball is playing right into their hands. They are letting the NBA dictate the rules. I think they should be allowed to go to the NBA out of high school or make the one and done rule a minimum of 3 years, but if you leave early you pay back that last year of tuition, IMO.
So :fuckyou: peterpuffer, purty mouth!

the NBA exodus has actually helped no-talent programs like turdue that have no worry about talent leaving early. its helped them be competitive some years

dUI was good and little else. MSU is a fraud. and I LMAO that you include 'elite 8 from 2000" just to get worthless turdue into the conversation.
and notice, this conference hasn't done squat since 2005 dUI's team?
when I think of really, really good teams, I think of OSU, IU from 91-93.
those teams would roll this turdue team by 25.

When Illinois wins, Evil spouts how it shows that basketball is down because the Illini were horrible last year. When they lose, he spouts how it shows that basketball is down as well because they are ranked.
So which is it? It's both. There is no way a team like Illinois should be ranked in the top 16 if college basketball isn't down this year. They are being ranked in the top 16 because that mediocre team is able to beat other 'ranked' teams.
I woke up in night sweats last night after dreaming that NW knocked off another quality 'tournament team' OSU. I'm scared to check espn to see if it was true. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, since NW returns all of their elite talent that was able to win..........1...............1 BT game last year.

Apparently even Missouri fans realize they are highly ranked because the quality of college basketball teams is down.

As long as we are going to use anecdotal evidence:
Notre Dame went 25-8 last year and returned seven players in their eight man rotation. They are 15-11 this year and look NIT bound.
So if Illinios is proof of bball being down, how does ND not prove the opposite?
