Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Says the guy who never made his basketball team.
Because I was better at other things.
Hmmmm..........kind of pointless when we are talking about basketball don't you think? I don't get my NFL analysis from John Wooden, my NBA analysis from Mario Lemiuex, and NCAA mens basketball from Pele'.
Playing a sport doesn't make you an expert.

See Larry Bird and Michael Jordan.
Yeah, see Larry Bird's coaching record. Analysis consists of telling people what is happening on the floor...knowing what is happening on the floor is part of basketball IQ.....I really hope you are not questioning the basketball IQ of 2 of the best basketball players the world has ever seen.

Indiana Pacers and Charlotte Bobcats.

Those two teams are awesome.

Hell, throw in Isiah Thomas and the Knicks, Elgin Baylor when he was with the Clippers, and Kevin McHale with the T-Wolves.

I know basketball, I've been around it my entire life. Not playing it in high school doesn't mean I don't know the game. Shit, I ran CC and track in HS and I have probably forgotten more about basketball than you'll ever imagine to know.

“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

"I’d take him to the ends of the earth — I’d want him playing for me.” - Bo Ryan on Robbie Hummel

I think there's a difference between saying Michael Jordan knows the game of basketball and Michael Jordan can put together a group of players that will be successful on the court. I guarentee you Jordan knows the game of basketball. Now knowing people, evaluating scouting reports and potential, etc? Doesn't appear like it.
