Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I thought the second coming would have his players ready to play their best against IU this year regardless of how bad we are?

IU fans chanting "over-rater" in the silo.......thats fucking funny as hell
No no, it was the Purdue fans chanting overrated....apparantly at their own team.
at least they're honest, i guess.

shit, i'd be lividly pissed if i were a boiler fan.

br
Pissed about what? Sleep walking through a game and winning by 14?
moore was sleep-walking?

br
Do you think thats the best we can play? If you do, I'm sorry.

We led start to finish, the game was never really in doubt past the 15:00 minute mark. The lead never got below 8.
Just because you didn't play to your utmost potential doesn't mean you were sleepwalking. MSU was sleepwalking when we hung with them. Purdue was definitely not sleepwalking.

Dcam, you are such an arrogant ass. You can't give any credit to the way IU played, its just that PU "sleepwalked through the game"? Whatever.
Ummmm, I have said Jones played well. Taber, Pritch, and Williams also played pretty well. If you think this was Purdue's best effort, you are sadly mistaken.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

I thought IU outplayed us, badly. I have some new respect for Crean. He had a good plan. His sets worked well. Penetration caused us to overhelp, which we tend to do, and the players found the open man for layups. IU crashed the boards and got some good points by pushing the ball. VJ had a good game, Taber too.
I think IU's heart surprised the Purdue boys.........we suck, but we are no pushover

Yes. From the 14:52 point on, it was never under 8.

Hummel played 16 minutes because he got laid out.

You did not play your best basketball game of the year. You also didn't take the game co,pletely for granted. JJ didn't take the game for granted when he tried to block everything in his vicinity. Moore wasn't sleepwalking when pumped up and on fire. Kramer wasn't sleepwalking when he was fired up after the no-call foul. Painter wasn't sleepwalking when he played Hummel and was calling timeouts as the lead got back to within 10 twice in the 2nd half.

Why do you think he called a TO? We played with very little energy today, not even in the same ballpark as Tuesday.

Our rotations on the pick and roll were awful all game. IU took advantage of it and made plays.

Riddell had more points then hummel....... JJ and Hummel played limited minutes, we got out rebounded by +2 and shot horribly from the line as well as gave way to many open looks in transition. I would say we need to work on some stuff for sure. Also coming off a big win and that always causes a team to become too cocky see Tenn beating memphis last year then getting bombed vs Vandy as the best example. No excuses we should of blown IU out and could not deliver that knock out punch, IU hung around but just not talented enough, as well as a mix of many turnovers hurt IU. Props to IU and Crean for playing a tough, hard game, at least one had to today.
