Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

IU played a good game, and we got lazy. When you lead the whole game, when you play a 1-? team, and jump out to a quick lead it tends to happen, no matter who you are. No offense to IU there, but thats just how it is. I blame Painter for not getting the team focused enough to be honest.

But, in the end ALL that matters is who gets the W.

I'm disappointed more by the fact that Buckets is the only one on our team that plays ANYTHING like a senior. Seems to me that Painter kept Green and Calasan on the court a lot more than usual (but I haven't seen the box score yet)...and they did not take advantage.

Please name me 21 teams better then Purdue. Purdue with a healthy hummel is a top 15 team in the nation.

Actually, Calasan didn't play that much in the second half.

Moore with the pushoff.
VJ been doing that all day.
LOL.

He'd have to bend over to push off of LewJack.
Lewjack played 20 minutes.
Yeah, because he couldn't guard Jones.
Yea and dumbshit Painter kept him on the bench. Only a 8" height difference.
That shouldn't matter if you are a all-Big Ten defender like dcam said he was.
Really? 8 inches in height shouldn't matter? So you think that Kramer should be able to lock down another teams' 6'11 center?

Talor Battle zero points, Kalin Lucas 2 of 11 with 6 TOs.
So bonus points are awarded if a player is small?

Who exactly was he going to guard if he couldn't guard Jones? So either there wasn't a player on the court that he could guard -- which speaks to his defensive ability -- or Painter was too dumb to switch him over to someone else.

If there isn't a player on a 1-12 team that you can guard, then you aren't an all conference defensive selection.

Oh, and I love how you mention Battle's zero point game against Purdue but don't mention that he scored 21 the first time they played..a game in which Jackson played 31 minutes.

If you can contain and shut down the two best PGs in the league, you are an all conference defender.

Jones is a bit of a mismatch for Jackson because of his height. Just like Evan Turner would be, or Kevin Coble would be.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

11.5 points a game in two games.

What's his season average?

Reading through this after going to the game, Brum is the most bitter person on this board. Hilarious stuff.

And the 'overrated' was for IU - it's called irony.

Purdue is about #11 to 15 with Hummel, about 30th w/o him. So with him being in and out of the lineup, #22 is about right.

Absolutely. The defense was the worst I've seen all year.

It was a pathetic effort on our part, and against any other team in the Big 10, would have cost us the game.
