Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

...as the greatest thing to ever happen to coaching.

BUT, thank god we didn't end up with somebody like Brad Brownell or Tony Bennett (who I initially wanted)...

Crean hasn't done too much ON the court yet, but everything else he's been able to do so far has made this horrific season surprisingly bearable...

Crean was definitely best case scenario.

I shudder to think of the outrage of having Brownell on the sidelines right now. Solid coach, but I'm thinking things would be ugly right now.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Totally agree badge. God I love it when he smacks the court during a close game too. His intensity and enthuiasm on the sidelines is second to none. Don't want to be overly optimistic for next year, buuuuuuut, it's hard to imagine that good times are too far off in the future.

I'm not a fan of the cheerleader act, but I understand why he is doing it. It can't be easy on the kids or even himself with all of the losing. He's doing all he can to keep spirits high (he sounded a whole hell of a lot better after the Purdue game than after the UW game FWIW), which is a smart thing to do. I doubt you see much of that as IU becomes less and less undermanned in games in years to come.

Tom Crean is the greatest coach ever. He will win a National Title with VJ3 and Williams. They will have under ten wins as Frosh and over 30 as seniors. IU is right on the brink of being a dynasty

I dont know about a national title without seeing the incoming classes and transfers between now an then, but im willing to bet, if you are, that iu is pushing 30 wins by williams senior year. what will it be, put up or shut up?

I'd put the over/under on wins the next 3 years at 80

I'll take the under because if they win 20 next year they will still need 61 over the next 2 years.....that's going to be pretty tough to do, especially with a bunch of guys who are either D2 talent or have no college experience.

I'd put the over/under closer to 72

A lot of it will depend on if Bow-Wow is the next Tijan jobe or Roy Hibbert.

17, 24, 27. UB, hate to say it, but I think you're setting your sights too high.
