Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Another perspective from Justin Young (who used to help compile these rankings for Rivals, but no longer works for them as of a few months ago):

"Haven't seen him in a year. Thought he was intriguing because of his size at his position. He's a strong kid that can handle and shoot. Thought he was a 100 to 150 level guy."

Take from that what you will, but considering no one seems to know much about the kid, it's some sort of barometer I guess...

I'm simply not believing the 21/11 line, even with his coach saying that is true. I found a jacksonville.com link with the area Jacksonville leaders midway through the season and it had him averaging 11.9 points per game at the time. I don't know what type of player he'll be, but his coach's explanation of the descrepancy between his numbers seems like BS to me.

No offense intended to IU fans for this low profile recruit (hell we recruited John Hart...) but I would of loved to hear what UB would of had to say if Purdue had signed him... I bet comparisons to A.J. Guyton wouldn't of made the cut....

I think the Jalen Rose comparisons are a little premature to say the least. So where does this kid fit in? Does Crean think Watford will only play 2-3 years? Is Williams going to play the 2? Does anyone know what kind of teams he is putting 21 per game up against?

The 21/game number is not true, as Brum is saying.

There is either some miscommunication between player, coach, and the media or someone is just trying to pull a fast one. There are plenty of people asking questions, the truth will come out soon.

If I'm not mistaken, this is a school that plays top notch competition and has produced players such as Dwight Howard and Josh Smith. At the least it would be nice to have some inroads there.

Found a link. WOW. There have been some great recruits to come through here. It would be fantastic to have an "in". Maybe that's the whole reason for the Williams committment....

I agree, but I am smelling BS on the 21/11 line. Go to MaxPreps...game results are VERY detailed there. Go to jacksonville.com, run a search and you'll see he was an 11 point scorer. You simply can't ever get straight answers from these 'basketball factory' type of private schools...which is also why we can't ever really get any reliable information on Muniru.

Yeam I'm not sure where everyone is getting the 21/11 line from. Who knows what they're talking about. Best 5 games? As a starter? Average stats when he scores more than 20 points :P ?

From either Williams himself or his coach is what I'm reading.

There's an article on Inside the Hall. His HS coach claims that the stats on that MaxPreps site are incorrect.

That said, I'm still not drinking the Kool-Aid on this kid. I will remain extremely skeptical until I something with my own eyes...

I beleive the controversy is mixed up in his high school and AAU play. Im not sure which stat-line belongs where, but either which way, he plays high-caliber basketball at an acceptable level. He is still growing too, and can play the guard position. I think we will be pleasantly surprised. I know there are those of you who wont be satisfied until you see his name in the Rivalshoops top 150, but give him some time. I think he will be a nice, versatile player for our time. Crean is great with these kinds of athletes.

Now for effect, someone please tell me Crean should be coaching at Oral Roberts instead and that he is out of his mind in bothering with David Williams.

Jalen Rose/Tracy McGrady with a touch of Calbert Cheaney.

He's a keeper
