More turnovers than assists, 55% from the foul line, and a few technical fouls thrown in too. I'm starting to think his 2 star rating might be justified. |

I thought you had to watch 20-30 games in person before you judge a recruit? |

You've already said this was a bad signing and that he is another panic move by Crean. How do you know this? What games did you watch him? Who gave you this info? |

Here you go, trying to start something. I didn't say it was a bad signing and I never said he was a bad player. I've stated more than once that I've never even heard of him, or seen him play. I questioned why Crean would sign a guy this early that nobody has heard of. After seeing his game by game season stats, it appears that he is likely a project player. 55% from the foul line is a red flag, especially for a guard, and I would hope that just about everyone can agree on that. |

Just a sec -- you were just claiming that his 21/11 line was correct. |

No, I questioned why his coach would make something like that up. It didn't make sense to me since every local newspaper could immediately call him out on it. His coach said that maxpreps didn't have game info for every game, and I said those things before I looked at your link of his game by game stats. |

2010 First Commit thread A for good, B for bad. Evil responds B. This thread Evil says he didn't call it bad. Odd. |

So the person who claims that I only looks at numbers jumps off the bandwagon when the 21/11 numbers are really 11/7? Tell me, what level was his competition? Did he become a worse player because you had the wrong stats? How many times have you seen him play? What is your opinion of his potential? You jump on dcam for using player ratings, yet when the only thing you have to go on is a set of statistics with zero perception of the value of those stats, you do a 180. |

Correct, and he did so without qualification. I stated B and stated it was a guess based on other people's ratings of him. Evil is so busy trying to be the first to give an opinion that he never actually stops to even consider whether it is the right one or not. |

You're right, I didn't say B with the qualification that he is a guard who shoots 55% from the line and has more turnovers than assists.....lame. That poll is a cut and dry either A you are all for it or B you are against it. I'm not the only one who said B....hell, I'm being criticized by someone who shared my opinion. Nice try spin doctors, but if you actually read all of the posts I've made about Crean offering Williams a scholarship so soon, you might actually get it right. This is so stupid. |

When exactly was I on this kid's bandwagon? I've been questioning the scholarship offer since it happened, yet somehow I'm this kid's biggest supporter.....and now I've flip flopped? |

In this thread: EvilEmpire quote: I didn't say it was a bad signing and I never said he was a bad player. In the thread on whether he was A. a good signing or B. a bad signing: EvilEmpire: B. 55% free throw shooting guard, more turnovers than assists. So, yep, you did flip-flop. You claim you never said it was a bad signing and yet there is indisiputable proof that you did. So which is it: did you say it was a bad signing or not? We all know the answer: yes, you did....and then you lied about it. Edited by brumdog44, Apr 24 2009, 07:05 PM.

In case I forgot to mention, Brum is the board Secretary, Loremaster, and Statkeeper. Dont say something you dont mean or you will be explaining yourself for the next decade. I've been on the receiving end of that more than enough times. |
