| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! Does anyone else feel as angry and disenfranchised as I do with the current direction the government? I can't even talk about the bailouts, TARP, stimulus, foreign policy blunders, spreading the wealth around, rewriting the rules of commerce, VAT, soda tax, nationalized healthcare, etc. without getting really fucking pissed off. When I can't afford to drive anything but the G.M. Pelosimobile due to tax incentives, government subsidies on the car that basically put the competition (aka-cars I would actually buy) out of business. The rising fuel prices (on purpose probably by them) will also contribute. This is an attack on our personal liberties-coercing us into doing what they want us to do, and limiting our choice. DON'T TREAD ON ME. |

boiler, we are in the midst of a takeover the likes of which this country hasn't seen since it took the land and resources of it's original inhabitants. The scariest part of it is that those who are taking over also control the most powerful military in the world (which we fund) which makes it difficult to defend yourselves against the takeover. This has not been a major factor in the past because we had a more powerful force than the military to defend us, "the rule of law", but that is clearly being removed from us as well. Well, just wait-I can see it now. Car dealers being forced to close for no apparent reason, who refuse to sign the "Gag" order or give up their inventory at a huge loss will be visited by some Govt cronies or even the National Guard or something.......... |

"Does anyone else feel as angry and disenfranchised as I do with the current direction the government?"- boilerUpAT i was there a year ago or more. ive moved on to hopelessness now. i know whats happening, whos responsible, and for the most part why. realizing there's very little an individual citizen can do about it brings about a sense of fatalism. give it time...you'll catch up with me. its a natural progression much as the kubler-ross model for death and dying- denial anger bargaining depression acceptance when you realize its our republic which is dying, you can see how this concept applies. im in stage 4, you are in stage 2. |

I heard yesterday that Obama as a 62% approval rating. No administration making this many mistakes should receive that type of approval, but with the media in the corner for socialism, it makes sense. Very sad. |

Yep, I'm in Stage 2 alright. Unfortunately, I think you are right trouble. I too, know whats happening, who is responsible and also for the most part why its happening. But, there isn't a damn thing I can do about it. When I talk to people, they always say "Vote then...." I do fucking vote! Doesn't do shit. I don't want to hear that ever again from anyone.......All politicians are the same, representing the same out of control growing and self-sustaining entity that is our "Government." Our government, and its 2 party system rife with lobbyists and special interest influence, and with power ceded from the 2 branches of government to the Executive branch is one big growing fire that can't be put out. |

You can get involved at the local and state level. The two party system may be here for good, but if individuals that understand the Constitution and liberty get into office or get serious clout at the local and state levels, we'll see a grassroots operation based on liberty that will really flourish. People like freedom. Generally, people like being left alone by the gov't. Run with those basic principles with a Constitutional framework, and you can really get things done. |

Completely agree. While I feel we're a decent ways away from breaking away from the two party system, candidates like Ron Paul have shown that it is possible while unlikely. If the young generation of voters do feel disenfranchised with the current process, they already have the ability to turn the tide at local levels, and hopefully someday those politicians gain clout and become viable candidates on a national level. |

Just think about who the msm is hypnotizing with there never-ending love affair with Obama...........people that arent smart enough to know the difference! Anyone who would believe half the shit that these TV news anchors spew, is a fucking moron! One question for you guys: Remember the last 2-3 yrs of GW's presidency? Every night on TV was constant "war coverage"...........where has the coverage gone since Obama is in office? He has sent MORE troops over, and is manipulating alot of things in the Afghan/Pakistan regions...........where is the never ending coverage and outrage??? There has been more coverage of the abortion doctor that was murdered than about the Muslim that walked into the Armed Services recruiting center and blew those 2 soldiers away! Why is this??? You only see what THEY want you to see........period! |

I wanted to post about this issue coltfan, because it is really sickening to me, but nobody really listens to me bitch about the biased media on here anymore because I have probably done it too often. Since you brought it up.......Tiller is being heralded as a hero in every story I have seen about him in the MSM, but I believe something like 90% of the population is against 3rd trimester/late-term abortions. This makes no sense to me whatsoever, but then when I see them cover up a Muslim extremist attacking a freaking military recruiter....my stomach turns. |
