While I have always admitted Hannity & Rush's clear bias and also have disagreed with them, I have also defended them at times and still believed that they were more sincere than insincere. I have finally had enough. When listening to their show over the past few weeks they have naturally complained about GM and what they are doing to the shareholders, their biased treatment of the UAW...etc etc. At the same time, they are still giving paid personal testimonials during their radio shows talking about the "new GM", and GM "reinventing themselves".....blah blah blah. I am a capitalist and I support their right to sell these types of services, but the hypocrisy of it is also forcing me to exercise my right to no longer support either of them as well as their show sponsors. Much like Brum's recent admition of his mistake in supporting Obama, I am willing to admit that I was fooled. I am wondering how long it will be before dreach, sirbrif and a few others admit that they were duped as well. |

cosign about their GM support. I heard Hannity say he's driven a bunch of GM vehicles the past few years, and I thought it would be great to get a new one every year, and have immediate support if something went wrong. That said, I've always wanted to give US auto-makers a fair chance, and do believe they have put out some good vehicles the last 5-10 years. |

I have now limited all future purchases to Saturn & Ford (until Ford eventually caves). I will never purchase a GM or Chrysler vehicle built from 2009 on. |

Kudos aaron. I heard Rush's the other day, just after a segment where he was ripping GM. Couldn't believe it. |

Saturn's are pretty good vehicles. We've had two....the first one was totalled when a construction van cut across a highway intersection in front of my wife who was going about 60. The impact lifted the van off of the ground and sent it flying. She was pregnant at the time and in a car of poorer construction it would have definitely affected it. |

We have a Saturn Vue right now and it has been an excellent car. I will be interested to see how good that company can do without the GM baggage when Penske takes over. |

Agreed. I've said many times that I like GM cars of recent, but I will not buy one ever again. Never. I would buy a new Ford first probably, although I have had qualms over the association with the UAW there, at least they made some concessions to help the company when they needed it. Other than that it would be a foreign car, starting with those built in the US (Toyota's, Honda's, Nissans, Hyundais even) etc. A lot of foreign manufacturers build good cars here in the states and do it profitably. I do not consider them "foreign" cars, and even if I did if it was a better deal I'd probably go with it anyway. This is America, and capitalism thrives on the compromise of building the best product at the lowest cost and maintaining profitability. I don't listen to Rush or Hannity all that much anyway, they seem to criticize the media and everyone else for being so Left biased, but they are doing the exact same thing just biased the other way. They do bring up good points at times and are worth listening, but you always have to understand their point of view and take what they say with that in mind. I prefer to get my information from less biased sources if I can. |
