Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

This kind of stuff really makes me sick, and the fact that the major media isn't really reporting on it, therefore the public will essentially let this happen for lack of info is even worse. And the fact that he didn't even follow the rule, which he was a co-sponsor of as a Senator, where they have to give 30 days notice to Congress and a written explanation of the firing is even worse.

We have to have oversight at all levels of government, and if Obama or any official is able to intimidate the inspectors into looking the other way for political reasons, that is just disgusting!

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

I think its interesting that the media did not even cover this at all. Its like they are afraid to take on the White House or anyone else in Govt. for that matter.

Sad......

they're not afraid....they are just flaming liberals who will do everything in their power to paint a rosy picture of the Obama admin.

I think there is more at the surface here than simply Walpin's version.

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/06/white-house-plays-hardball-says-fired-ig-walpin-was-confused-disoriented-engaged-in-inappropriate-co.html

You know that even as an Obama voter that I haven't backed many of the administration's decisions, but I think that there is more than Walpin's version of his firing in play here.

I absolutely agree that there is much more to it, but based on what I am seeing and reading, the further it goes it probably will get worse for the Obama administration. My question is, why isn't he being called out for not giving the required BY LAW 30 days notice before firing?

I have watched and listened to several Walpin interviews in the last few days, and I don't see any sign of a person being confused or disoriented.

I posted that The Mythiah was a great example of "The Cult of Personality" and posted a link to the music video.

Oh, now I see, the embedded video doesn't play. I removed the embedding.

The White House did issue a statement, read the article I posted. You may not accept what they say, but they have issued a statement.
