Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

I realize that it's cool to buck the trend and vote outside of the top 2 parties, but until someone else actually has a remote chance of winning, I'm going to vote for whichever of the 2 main candidates I think will be better.
so how do you think you did? please elaborate, dont be shy. maybe give a list of the positive things that obama has done so far
I've already done this at least twice on the board.

The funny part is that your obsession with bashing Obama is WAY more than anyone else's obsession with loving Obama.
good reply wtg
coltfan's obsession with beating up Obama doesn't even come close to the national media's love affair....coltfan has an audience of what...7 or 8 of us knuckleheads....NBC has millions.
Should clarify. I meant on this board.

I dislike and strongly disagree with his agenda and where the country is heading. Its really nothing personal with Obama. With all the appointee problems, transperancy rhetoric, and his economic agenda including pushing massive spending bills without allowing congress to read them, its no wonder he is slipping in the polls. I guess you are just a little more optimistic than me and a few others.

coltfan, just out of curiosity, how old are you and how long have you shown this level of interest in politics?

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

30's.........about 2-3 years heavy interest........mild interest for 5 or 6........I've just seen the light on a few issues over the last 2-3 years. It seems as you get older and finally develop some "internet savy", you find there is a wealth of information and sources that you just dont see with the MSM. I was hypnotized by the tube for a few years and didnt realize how bad I was being cheated. The brainwashing really works. People need to do their own research and have some common sense. This stuff is much deeper than partisan politics.

Just be aware that for every report you read that has credence, you're going to find one that is complete bullshit. I get almost all my news the same way, but sometimes I find myself being intrigued by an interesting story only to realize that it's likely not probable and after searching around finding that it's not likely at all. It's almost impossible to prove a story wrong, so you just have to use a lot of common sense. The great thing about the internet is that anyone can be a reporter... the bad thing about the internet is that the majority of people in the world are morons.. and like to post on the internet.
