Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

The whole tone of this basically makes it sound like the court is supposed to run on GMs, not the judicial system's, time schedule. GET IT DONE RIGHT, DON'T GET IT DONE RIGHT NOW.

and i took heat in your other thread for saying never by GM or Chrysler again

These two companies have no leadership morals or anything that would lead me to believe they deserve to be in business

I took the same heat, but I stand by my position.

My wife and I have also decided not to buy Chrysler or GM products anymore, which is a shame because I have been die-hard 100% GM since I was 15. I have bought (including through businesses) over 40 GM vehicles in my life. I realize that is a small amount to them, but I don't think I am the only one thinking this way. It is going to be painful to buy a Ford, but until the Saturn deal is finalized and I am happy with it, Ford or Tesla Motors seem to be my only American choices.

The body knows what fighters don't: how to protect itself. A neck can only twist so far. Twist it just a hair more and the body says, "Hey, I'll take it from here because you obviously don't know what you're doing... Lie down now, rest, and we'll talk about this when you regain your senses." It's called the knockout mechanism.

yeah, that's what you were saying on another thread....I haven't researched that myself, but if that comes to be then I will either have to only buy Saturns which I know are built here, or just not by any Saturns. How the hell can he get cheaper labor on France BTW?

Okay, here it goes, though I still don't know all of the details: Renault is part of the deal and Penske will be looking to import the cars under the Saturn name. Renault is a French company that builds mostly in South Korea.

Penske is smart. He wants the name and some of the technology (dent free panels for 1), but none of the GM baggage. I wish he could find a way to have the built here though.....it's probably a matter of building infrasture vs. using someone's existing but for that matter I heard there are some empty factories in Detroit ready to go...just import some non-entitlement minded employees and they will be fine.

Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Subaru & Toyota all build cars here in the US, with American workers, US sourced parts, deliver them to US dealers (owned by US citizens) on US railways and trucking distribution companies. All are incorporated in the US and have US design centers.

Just because the Japanese and Koreans can come here and set up a profitable business that employs people and turns a profit doesn't make them any less "American" than GM or Chrysler.

Hell, I think that makes them MORE American. At least they play by the rules of Capitalism and the free market. I'm a GM guy through and through and a patriot, but I cannot stand to see this happen.

My next car WILL NOT be a GM or Chrysler.
