| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! Please. Count the number of posts I have started whose sole subject is to bash a republican and compare it to the number of posts you have started where the sole subject is to bash a democrat. Is television media at least slightly biased toward liberals (with the exception of FOX)? Sure. It's the opposite on radio, which I guess doesn't count as media in republicans' eyes for some reason. Continually playing the victim card is a losing proposition. It's killed PETA and it's a huge reason for backlash against the NAACP. Republicans talking about the liberal media bias is counterproductive...it's kind of like telling the judge before he sentences you that you think he is a jerk. |

1. television media is far from "slightly biased". whats the percentage of people who get their politics from television compared to radio? Its not the 40's anymore. 2. so how is the constant Bush-bashing not "counter productive"? Maybe the Dems should quit talking about "moving in a new direction" one minute and talking about all their "inherited" problems the next minute? That seems the definition of "counter productive" to me. (see Corzine's current campaign.......and a few other threatened Dems). If Americans voted for a new direction Because of Bush, I'm quite sure they are getting a little tired of hearing his name every 5 seconds. If they have the plan, they should lead. But its really just about getting re-elected. :-/ |

No doubt it's about getting re-elected. In terms of your television/radio analogy, here's a pretty good study. A little bit old (2004), but has a nice breakdown. http://people-press.org/report/?pageid=834 The dangerous part is that I think that the amount of people getting their news on the internet has went through the roof. This is not a bad thing as long as people recognize what are good and bad sources; unfortunately, I think as a society people tend to only look for sources that are saying what we want to hear. A right-leaning or left-leaning internet source has a much stronger chance of survival than one that actually just reports facts. |

I think she has great potential to raise huge amounts of money for the party and conservative PAC's. |

Brum, I have a question for you. Knowing what you know now, would you vote the same way again in the Presidential primary & general? Keep in mind that the Congress would still be Democrat and with a Republican President we would have a better shot at more reasonble, compromised legislation, or a stalemate on controversial legislation. |

Yes, I probably would, or I would have looked at other third party or write-ins. If you are asking if I regret not voting for a McCain/Palin ticket, the answer is 100% that I do not. |
