| Welcome to Our Hoosier Board! Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions. Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful. Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine! Sirbri, A republican will win in 2012. I am not sure whom will get the nomination. It will not be Sarah or Mittens but a candidate will arise and defeat Obama. The problem with having all three branches is you lose them. 1995-2001 with a split govt we saw growth. We had fiscal responsibility and a generally happy electorate. politics is interesting but in no way a science just a battle of differing opinions. The America (you) (you meaning any individual) want will never exist. The Federal Govt will continue to have to much control and all we can change with elections is the fringes. The truth is right now as a Country we are to dependent on the Federal Govt for all the problems we face. neither party can solve the problems until the electorate realizes it is them that has the power and stop continually electing assclowns. The greedy self serving politicians control the power they have. The system works best when more people get involved. That creates a battles of ideas and those ideas make the nation greater. The true enemy is not the corrupt Republicans or the dirty dems but the apathy of the populace neither party can solve that problem only the people. Take this board for example we have over 300 members but only a handful consistently post about politics. The average citizen does not take the responsibility needed for the country to be successful seriously. Apathy is our biggest enemy not the Dems or the repubs. |

so, because you backed Obama during the election, you are going to support his irresponsible decisions for the next 8 years? Can you tell me one thing you are happy with so far and why? |

boilergrad, you said up until election day that McCain was going to win....and even bet me on Pennsylvania. You obviously are too biased in this to give any talk about 2012. |

True, true. After the first four years they were justified however. |

what do you consider "whining"?....The right wing isn't the ones acting like the election was stolen (see tons of your posts 4 YEARS LATER regarding Bush 00'). Being concerned about the nation, and upset about it's government isn't whining. Bitching 8 years later about a supposed stolen election and posting 100 page documents about the controversial election polls in Ohio is epitome of whining. |

Sir B.S. does many shrooms........its the only possible answer for his political ignorance. Far-left flamer, no doubt. Must get his political wisdom from the HuffPost. Votes a straight ticket........you know the type. Either his life and freedoms are not important to him or he is just too lazy or stupid to put any effort into his personal politics............definitely an extremist. Some would say "nutjob", but who am I to judge. Or maybe he is really just one of the people sucking up all the "freebies"? Some people feel we owe them that monthly check.......??

So if he referenced the Huff post, you would....what ? Bitch about that ? I think Bri explains his beliefs just fine without having to refer to some partisan website. You, however, http://s15.zetaboards.com/Our_Hoosier_Board/topic/6685934/1/ http://s15.zetaboards.com/Our_Hoosier_Board/topic/6683446/1/ http://s15.zetaboards.com/Our_Hoosier_Board/topic/6685495/1/#new "Throws out _________ talking point with no explanations for his beliefs.......towing the party line." Just insert "Republican" and Pot and Kettel will be as one. |

Bob, just because you agree with many of the liberal views of sirbri, doesn't mean you have to blindly defend him. Sirbri has repeatedly interjected half-cocked comments with no justification and then when he is questioned on it, he simply disappears. I have personally tried to discuss several points with him, particularly his support of the governmental ban on the private ballot when voting for or against a union. When I give him some valid points against socialized healthcare, he simply throws out liberal talking points "every other country does it"....which #1 isn't true, and #2 has proved to be a failure at every country it has been tried. He walks away from that also. |

You're always good for a laugh aaron. John McCain might disagree with your analysis of my "views", since I voted for him. I have some "liberal" viewpoints, have some "conservative" as well. See, it's called an Independent, like independent thinker. I don't believe in something because my party says I should, like half the robots in this country, on both sides. Not using you as an example. I happen to believe you are an independent thinker as most of your positions are well thought out. But just because someone is not conservative in all their views doesn't make them a liberal. You are as guilty as most in your party about throwing that term around, hoping it will stick. You just might figure out, someday, that it actually hurts your message. No, probably not. I'm not blindly defending anybody. I was merely pointing out that coltfan uses quotes from right wing websites to make his points with little or no explanations of his own, then accuses Bri of doing the very same things he does. Laughable. |
