Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

Nice to get recognition, 2nd Top-10 class by Painter in his 4 years.

(obviously all the recruits haven't committed yet, and some guys will go up and some guys till go down, but I'd expect to stay in the top-15 either way)

What ranking do you consider "not sniffing the top-10"?

What rank will they end up?

not the top 10 in any ranking

posting premature crap like this is akin to a guy teeing off at 7:30 am thursday morning in the US Open and shooting 76 and seeing himself on the leader board because there is only 3 people with completed rounds.

face it - turdue's class isn't that good. oh my bad, by turdue and porkchop standards, its fabulous

I'm disappointed you couldn't just answer the question. I honestly thought you could engage in an intelligent conversation if approached the right way.

I did answer it. I said turdue would not end up top 10 in any recruiting ranking when all is said and done.

you guys have some talent coming in at 2010, but honestly, that list is pretty messed if you look at it. how is florida state's class at 15? that's crazy. their class is better than PU's.

I don't think Purdue's class will be top10 in the end either, about 50 of the top150 haven't committed yet, but I seriously doubt they drop out of say, the top 20. (my Guess would be around 15).

Anthony Johnson has only dropped out of the top-50 due to injury, Terone Johnson has only risen to the top-50, and Carroll and Hale were both mainstays in the top150 until the last one. Carroll is kinda doing a "Stephan Van Treese" of last year. That didn't stop Louisville from wanting him (free falling in the rankings). He started off #69 then #102 then dropped out a week ago.

I dunno what makes them think ours is currently better than say Florida State, but I think most schools outside of schools that consistently get a ton of 5 stars (UNC for example) would be more than satisfied with our haul.

It was akin to you posting that IU's '09 class was going to be top 5, which you and many IU fans did repeatedly throughout the year.

And now, IU's '09 class isn't even a top 10 class.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

Carroll and Hale >>>>>>>>>> Bernard James

Also, Johnson and Johnson pretty much equal White and Miller. If Anthony Johnson wasn't injured, he'd be a whole lot higher, just like Derek Elston only held steady because he was injured all summer.
