Welcome to Our Hoosier Board!

Most of the posters here have been around for nearly a decade now. You'll find their knowledge and insight to be second to none. We have a really strong community and value everyone's opinions.

Feel free to jump into any thread and voice your opinion with conviction. We love heated debates and even some fanbase ribbing from time to time. We pride ourselves on the lack of moderation needed to make this board successful.

Please remember that we have been around many years and have an astute ability to tell the difference between an immature, childish, trash-talking troll and a passionate fan voicing his or her opinion. It is at the discretion of Jazen and myself whether any moderating actions should be taken at any given time. It's a very, very rare thing. In other words, no worries....you'll be fine!

Cheers,
sirbrianwilson

He'll have more of an impact on a team coming off a 6 win season, than "some" of about 25 freshman.

Rivers as a junior with final 4 experience will have more first year impact than some 75-100 ranked freshman.

He will be the team leader this year - mark it down
He'll be the leader, but is that a good thing?

Its funny you rag on Kramer for not being able to score when Rivers averaged 1.3 PPG as a freshman and 2.5 as a sophomore. And his FG %s were 39% (23% from 3) and 31% (29% from 3). His FT% was 44% and 54%.
“He’s always been a guy — maybe to a fault — he would always try to do what I said. That seems like something simple in coaching, but those are the guys I hang my hat on. We’ve had some guys in our program, we had a couple guys that felt I had a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. And they were right — I do have a bias towards E’Twaun Moore. I like guys that go to class, that are academic All-Americans, that come early, that stay late, that love the game of basketball. I am biased towards those guys. And I’m biased towards Rob Hummel. But I’m also biased towards their habits, their work ethic, and how they carry themselves."

here's the rub - my expectations of Rivers are to be a good leader, solid defender, make the open J, not turn the ball over and make freethrows. I have no delusions of him being an all BT player or BT defender of the year like you dolts talk up the fag.

oh and another thing, I fully expect Rivers to not kiss his teammates on or off the court.

someone has to be the leader - it could be one of the incoming freshmen but I doubt it.

and I know it won't be Mr. Elbows.

Ummmmmm.......actually the Big Ten Conference made him the Def player of the year.

And he already does what you project rivers to do, and has since his freshman year, I guess Kramer should have been a 4 star.

Well Rivers has proven he can't make the open J or hit FTs. And in 2 years he had as many TOs as assists.

Ummm, Kramer has won BT DPOY, 3 times B10 All-Defensive team and has been named to the 3rd team All-B10. I think thats why we expect him to be an all B10 player and B10 defender of the year.

Oh, and Chris Kramer has scored more points in each of his first 3 seasons than Rivers did combined in his two years at Georgetown.

rivers also played on loaded teams and wasn't asked to score and even play that much.

Gay boy has played on mediocre teams and has basically stunk.

Been to the tournament every year of his college career. B-10 defensive player of the year

He also was the third leading scorer (behind landry and teague) the year his offense was needed.

He has deferred to other players and concentrated on defense since the team got more offensive weapons.

If Kramer stinks, Rivers is a fucking suck fest.

One would think that with the "loaded" roster (which it really wasn't, especially at guard), that he'd be able to shoot over 31% from the field.

Also shooting 44 and 54% from the FT line is pathetic.

Once again if Kramer put on those types of defensive performances/numbers for IU, UB would be raving about how he is the best. He just argues the point because Rivers plays for IU, and Kramer plays for Purdue. Thats it.

Well, thats obvious. Its just funny to watch him spin in circles and show his true homerism.

see, this is the bullshit I'm talking about - KRAMER fucking sucks on offense. His jumpshot is a joke for a 6'3 white guard. don't give me this crap about "consentrating on offense". you fuckheads think he's so much better than he really is. as for his defense- OVERRATED. go review the Duke tape and count how many times his ass got beat from over playing and trying to pad defensive stats by over playing passing lanes and going for steals instead of sticking with his man. His defense is a mirage regardless of whatever bogus awards he's won.

you farmers think Fag Boy is great - I have no such illusions of Rivers. HUGE DIFFERENCE.

If Kramer "fucking sucks on offense", what does that mean for Rivers?

And the coaches of the B10 obviously disagree with your assessment of his defense.
