SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) -- A new billboard facing the Notre Dame campus offers a not-so-subtle reminder to coach Charlie Weis that the past two seasons have not been up to the standards of the storied Fighting Irish football program. It reads: "Best wishes to Charlie Weis in the fifth year of his college coaching internship." Weis said Tuesday he had not yet seen the billboard, about a half mile from his office, but had been told about it. If you'll read the subtext for many of those old strips, you'll find the heart of an old-fashioned Libertarian. And I'd be a Libertarian, if they weren't all a bunch of tax-dodging professional whiners." - Berkeley Breathed Meat is Murder. Sweet, delicious murder. | |

Chuck should be fine...for Homer Holtz stated on Sportscenter this morning that the Gomers "will surprise Florida" in the national championship game. |

Well, It could happen. Notre Dame could win the National Championship... I mean, it is in the realm of possibility. Kind of like my chances of winning the lottery(In Khazakstan) |

...and Mark Wohlford could throw down a tomahawk slam in the closing minutes of a 30 point win at Michigan State. It would be about the same probability. :D |

Please define "success". I'm still counting no wins vs. teams that finished in the top 15, and only one in the top 20 (with Ty's players). Hell, even Colletto could top that. Edited by BoilerVision, Sep 3 2009, 08:34 AM.

You do of course realize that the billboard was put up at the Linebacker Inn in South Bend, don't you? I don't imagine any "Turdue Dorks" had anything to do with it. |

LMAO. So you're comparing Chuck's career to Tiller's LAST five years at Purdue? According to your logic, Bruce Weber is a better coach than Konvict. Once again, I will GLADLY compare quality wins Tiller's first four years vs. Chuck's first four years. Understandably so, you didn't want to touch that one the last time I offered. |

success is all relative. success at turdue is potential grounds for firing at ND. If Hopeless goes 28-21 his first 4 years at turdue, you would be creaming your pants. |

If Hope goes 9-15 for two years, he will be on the hot seat. And once again, Colletto has more quality wins than Chuck.

keep jacking off to subjective "quality" wins. bottom line: Weis isn't that great of a college coach but he's better than Colleto, Akers, Hopeless and numerous other coaches turdue fans have creamed over themselves for. LMAO at "quality wins" |
